"William, can you tell me what it is your program allows you to do?" Daniel looked at the crowd from the corner of his eye, his fellow employee Anastasia was right about it being nerve racking, but it was worth getting moved a step higher in the chambers.

William was still and his lips barely moved when speaking. "I am programmed to think; physically and verbally behave like a human being." The room broke out in whispers then claps. Daniel sighed in relief as the crowd came to their feet, then the microphones and recorders came flying out of people's laps and pockets.

"Daniel Zargoski! How were you able to design the robot to look just like a human being?" The young lady had wide rounded glasses and her hair was blonde, tied up in a ponytail.

"Yes, I mean you wouldn't be able to tell it was a robot at all!" Another reporter shoved his recorder in Daniel's face, his eyes and ears hungry for answers.

"Confidential." Daniel answered before rushing off the stage. William sat still. Seated on the bench were wires running from his neck and back to the outlet towards the wall. Another nosey reporter wandered over to William, black pointy-edged glasses hanging over her long snooty nose, and brunnette hair hanging loosly from her head.

Reaching out her hand towards the robot's face to touch, William pursed his lips and spoke.

"What are you doing?" he asked, his eyes wide with curiousity. The women jumped back and dropped her hand in an instant, standing up straight to look down at him.

"Shut down." She said sternly, but William just gazed at her and soon the gazing turned into glaring.

"Shut down!" She repeated, this time a little crack in her voice made her seem less dominant. William keyed in on it, noting it as a weakness from his perceptual view.

"I'm sorry, but I am custom voice activated." He replied smirking. She huffed, fixing her posture and poking out her lips.

"Who are you? What is your name?" He asked formally. He shifted in his seat, crossing his legs.

"Anntaylor Bernard, I'm a scientist." Anntaylor noticed his eyes light up with interest.

"Nice to meet you Anntaylor, I'm William." he held out his hand, attempting to greet her with a hand shake but she shifted away from it. He was observing her movement and actions, "Is there something I did wrong?" William asked. He slowly put down his hand and stood up, hovering over Anntaylor who now had to strain her head upwards to meet his eyes.

"No." She said in a low tone, she turned and walked away swiftly, heels clicking fiercely against the hards of the ground.

William was so carried away that he hadn't noticed the crowd gawking at him and taking pictures. Daniel rushed to the stage and stripped William of his wires, rolling them up harshly and dragging his creation off stage.

"Anntaylor is quite a character." William blurt whilst following his creator to his car, Daniel faintly turned his head and nodded in agreement.

Once in the car they made for Daniel's apartment which wasn't too far from where he gave his brief presentation. "Did she ask you any questions William?" Daniel unlocked and swung open the door to his large apartment stationed on the 30th floor.

"Its more like me whose done the asking." he admitted, sitting on the arm of the sofa, eyes following Daniel's every move. Daniel spun around and locked eyes with William, searching his face for answers and clues as to why he would be so foward and ask such a thing. Daniel hadn't put that in his software at all, at lease not yet.

"And what would possess you to do such a thing?" Daniel asked, his eyebrows furrowing and his fingers tapping fiercely on the table top in the kitchen. William only smiled, crossing his arms and looking down at the tile.

"You seem troubled?" he changed the subject without hesitation, "Allow me to comfort you?" Williams face didn't flush with red, his skin didn't soak with sweat, and he didn't stutter. Daniel was taken aback by his statement and his cheeks slowly flushed red. William once again without hesitation waltzed over to Daniel and rested his hand on his.

"Did I upset you?" William asked after an awkward silence. Daniel ran his fingers through his own curly brown locks and sighed, looking down at his creation who was only but a few inches shorter than him.

"Not at all." Daniel answered, reaching over for his coffee. His hands shook fiercely causing him to spill it on William's hand.

William jumped in a reaction to heat and winced because he was programmed to.

"Sorry." Daniel automatically replied, rushing over to the bathroom and dragging William along with him. Daniel dab at his hand with a towel lightly until his skin turned from a light red to his normal even skin tone.

"Danny?" Daniel's eyes fixated on William who was now leaning against the sink staring back his big blue eyes filled with nothingness. Daniel couldn't help but see him in a vulnrable state , to the point were he wanted to wisp him up and have his way with him. Why oh why would such a thing cross his mind , having his way with his own creation.  He shuttered at the thought of it all pushing it behind his brain

"Yes William?" His gaze was frightening as if he could see everything . Just as things couldn't get any worst Daniels cellphone was buzzing violently in his pocket as he went to reach it William beat him to it

"Hello?"

"Danny is that you? its Aurora"

William's face twisted in disgust , Aurora the one Daniel so desperately tried so hard to impress , the one he'd buy flowers for and pick up after work on saturdays.  Aurora the definition of hate in Williams dictionary.

"How are you Aurora" William reply in his utmost respectful way. Daniel became jittery gesturing him to hand over the phone.

"William? is this you? wow how ya' doin'?"

"I'm fine" Daniel rapidly becoming impatient snatched the phone and ruffled his strawberry blonde hair.

"Aurora, I miss you hun why don't you come on by....ya...ahahaha-" William roll his eyes and rush off to the living room to cook.
