I had been in the forest for over an hour. Mud clung to my once white boots and bags hung under my eyes. I sat down on a log agsausted as I pulled sticks and leaves out of my hair.
"Wow,3 years later and I can't even find my way to my family" I said sighing. Suddenly their was a russel in the bushes behind me. My heart jumped and I turned around quickly.
"Who's there?!" I said looking around. Their was a crack as if someone had stepped on a brach.
"I have a really old rusty grappling hook and I'm not afraid to use it" I said pointing it at the sound. Suddenly a short man with a tall cone hat and blue overalls.
"Wait,Steve?!" I said lowering the weapon.
"Mabel?!,what are you doing here?"
" I'm here to see dipper,you you know where he is?" I said kneeling down to his level.
"Oh well,um" he said rubbing the back of his neck.
I grabed him by his coler and lifted him up.
"Hey hey HEY!" He yelled flailing his arms.
"Tell me where he is..now!" I said growling at him.
"He was shot!"
"W-what?" I said my eyes widening but my grip still strong on him.
"A few days ago,he was shot on his hide from a deer hunter. Hunters arnt allowed in gravity falls but the kid had gone past the boundaries"
I dropped Steve to the ground.
"Oh,and the shack is just that way" he said pointing before he scampered away.
I sighed, I hope dippers ok. If it's only on his hide so he should be,right?
I sighed and walked in the direction of the shack.
Then I saw him,dipper.
