I woke up this morning and got ready for school. Today is Friday and it's a beautiful day. I have to get up 20 minutes earlier than I should have to because of my twin brother, Shawn. I need to use the bathroom before he does. He also takes his showers in the morning so we'd bump into eachother and he's not a morning person. Anyways, here's some background information. My name is Summer Annae Jackson. I go to Greenfield High as a senior. I live in a simple 3 bedroom house and my mom and dad are still together, which is not that common in this neighborhood. But that's because my parents are mates . Yeah I live with 3 werewolves , but we don't exactly have a pack . I have shifter blood but I just can't or haven't shifted yet . We've heard of late bloomers but 2 years late ?

I got in the driver's seat of the car that Shawn and I share. My parents only agreed to buy us a car under that condition. Its a silver Audi A4 and im content.
" How come you get to drive?", Shawn whined
"Because you did yesterday" I said in a discussion over tone.
He got in the passenger seat and turned on his music. I let him because I'm actually in a good mood today. I smiled as I started driving.
Shawn turned the music down.
"What's got you in such a good mood?", Shawn asked
"No reason just happy to go to school" I answered
"Nah..you a nerd but you not that much of a nerd....Oh ! Don't tell me its about Chase?" He asked
Chase had been asking me out for a while but he's not my type he's a player and is self-absorbed I could never imagine myself going out with him. He only wants me because I dont want him and he see's that as a challenge. And as the quarterback of Greenfield high, he takes all challenges.
"No!" I answered disgusted
"Good cause he's a player and I don't want him messing with my baby sister" Shawn all but growled
"Your older than me by 3 minutes" I said rolling my eyes, pulling into Greenfield High parking lot. Shawn actually has his own parking space because he's "popular" so no one parks where he parks (when he drives). He got out and came to open my door (It was a bet from when we were toddlers that he still upholds) and we started walking to the building together. Before we could get to the stairs Diana approached us.
"Hey Shawnie pooh" She purred rubbing her badly manicured nails down his broad chest.
"Diana ... I've told you this before... I can't be with you" Shawn replied sounding tired with the conversation, earning a bad attempt at a pout.
"Maybe because you've already been with everyone else." I mumbled
Her eyes shot to me shooting daggers.
"What was that Summer?" she spat
I didn't know I said it loud enough for anyone to hear but she obviously did. I rolled my eyes at her saying nothing .
"Yea... scary, same as 9th grade" She said snickering after moments of silence from me.
I would usually just walk away but today was different for some reason and I didn't want to just walk away so I stood my ground.
" I said ...he doesn't want to go out with you because you've already been with everyone else" I said with venom in my tone
Her eyes widened and her mouth was open. She was obviously shocked I actually said that to her. Diana. The most popular slut in school. Shawn was trying his hardest to hold in his laughter. I started to walk away and before I did I called over my shoulder
"Best close your mouth hun, nothing intelligent ever comes out anyways" which earned a fit of laughter from Shawn. As I walked up the stairs I felt like I was being watched. Their gaze was burning holes into the side of my face. I walked in the building and went to a spot where my friends and I hang out. I came and stopped in front of my friend, Jewel.
" Hey " I greeted her happily
"Hey, where's Courtney?"
" She's probably going to be late. We'll see her in first period."
Then the bell rang and we headed for homeroom. She sat behind me and we started to listen to our homeroom teacher Mr.Washington talk about something nobody was listening to. Then Courtney walked in and sat beside me.
"There's a party tomorrow. Yall wanna go?" She asked us
"Sure...where is it" Jewel asked
"Kayla's house" she replied
" Who's house are we getting ready at ?" I asked
"Doesn't matter..." we both looked at Jewel
"Summer's....random question- Is Shawn gonna be there?" She asked nervously. She's had a crush on him for a long time and every time she sees him she can't stop smiling. But I understand her feelings. I've had a crush on this boy named Jay since 10th grade. And 2 years after, I still haven't confessed. He has a girlfriend now anyways.
"Yea, Shawn is gonna be there " I replied with a knowing smile as Courtney giggled.
The school day went by quickly. Its Friday so everybody was mostly in a good mood. I was with my group at lunch- just normal lunchtime behavior. When school was over I rounded a corner looking for Shawn and bumped into a hard chest that sent me to the ground.
"Sorry I didn't see you th-" I started but stopped when I saw it was Chase. Damn
" I see your finally falling for me" He smirked as he helped me up
" Corny...very corny" I said
" Just go out with me" he said
" I've told you a thousand times, Chase and I'll tell you again. I. Dont. Wanna. Go. Out. With. You." I said very slowly
"Come on Summer. I can make it worthwhile" He said trying to persuade me
" No " I said back
" I know your just playing hard to get" He said stepping closer
" And why would you think that?" I challenged
" Because I know you've heard from other girls" he said
" Heard what?" I asked , curious as to what he would say
" That I can satisfy your needs " He said putting his hands on my waist and I was instantly reminded of a time that I hate to think about.
"I dont gossip with whores" I said stepping out of his embrace and turning the corner as he stood there giving up for today. As soon as I turned I wished I hadn't. I saw Shawn making out with a girl I couldn't quite make out because she was pushed against the wall. I didn't wanna ruin their little moment but right as I was about to turn around and wait in the car they pulled away for air. He quickly composed his self but she on the other hand took a minute. When they turned around and saw me I got a shocked and slightly embarrassed face from Shawn and a smug smirk on Diana's. I shifted from one foot to the other.
" Umm...so are you ready to go?" I asked
"Yea" He sighed. "I can expl-"
"It doesn't matter" I cut him off and threw the keys at him.
"Its your turn to drive" I said and started walking away.As I turned to the Exit I heard her say
"So you still coming over later babe?" rather smug and mockingly knowing I could still hear her.
Its not that I'm mad or anything but he knows I hate that bitch and she's mentally bullied me and hated me since the 9th grade. Shawn and I are very close and I just didnt think he'd go for the school slut. I walked to the car outside and leaned against the door. On the way I couldn't help but feel like I was being watched again but maybe I'm just paranoid. He came a minute later and unlocked the door and we both got in.
"So how was your day?" he asked, trying to lighten the mood.
I shrugged my shoulders stubbornly. He sighed, put the key in, and began driving us home.
