Chapter 8
French is going by smoothly. I sit in the back next to Court. The desks fit two. I keep thinking about Marcus and how he kissed me and walked away. My phone is still buzzing and I already know they're all messages from Jewel and Courtney but I dont want to talk right now , Court keeps trying to get my attention but I'm not having it. I raised my hand and asked to go to the bathroom within the first 10 minutes. The teacher nodded his head and I grabbed my bag and stepped into the hallway. I was walking down the one with my locker and pulled out some lip gloss and applied some. I looked up and saw Marcus standing there.
"Dont you have a class you should be attending?" I asked
" I should be asking you the same question" he remarked
I ignored him and put my spare lip gloss back in my locker.
"You dont wanna go to class" he acknowledged smiling.
"Well I wa-" I started
"Say no more " he said and grabbed my wrist a little too tightly. I hurriedly put my French book in my locker and closed it before he dragged me away .
Marcus Pov
I put her in the car and she willingly got in . Well after she got tired of trying to pull her wrist away from me. I hurriedly got in the driver's seat and started driving to a place a girl like her would love . Not like I care if she doesn't . She had her arms crossed making her boobs swell and her lip pouted like a 6 year old . I started driving when she shifted in her seat . When I looked over at her she was staring at me , she realized I had caught her she started to blush . I winked at her before she looked away.
" Where are we going ?" she asked
" Its a surprise " I mused
She looked at me flatly and muttered something but she said it so fast I couldn't understand it .
"What was that ? " I asked
" Nothing " she chimed and smiled . It was a dazzling smile that made me smile back.
" So how long is it gonna take to get there ?" she asked as the car started to slow .
"We're here"
She looked around and her eyebrows scrunched together in confusion .
"You want me to follow you into the woods ?" she asked
I chuckled . " I promise it's nothing bad . This is just the short cut . "
She rolled her head back and closed her eyes . When she opened them she grabbed her purse and went to open the car door .
"Come open my door " she said instead
I hopped out and went around to open her door .
"High Maintenance I see " I muttered
As she stepped out she said , " Or I was put on child lock"
"oh yea" i sighed trying to keep in the smirk . Then I just stood there watching her . From her wavy black hair all the way down to her small but very clean shoes . She doesn't have a body like how I would usually prefer but her small frame suddenly was attracting to me . The things I would do to ...
"Lead the way " she said breaking my inappropriate thoughts .
I grabbed her hand and started to make my way down the familiar path through the woods. When we were just about there she intertwined our fingers . A small smile found its way to my lips as the tingly and warm sensation filled my hand. A couple more steps , then we turned and here we were . The Hugins lake , the only part where no one goes . I looked at Summer and she had wide eyes . She looked at the grassy platform before the lake and smiled at all the flowers bordering the sides.
