Chapter 7

-With (Y/n)-

I'm staring outside while drinking a (f/f) coffee.Suddenly,Diane burst into the room panting

"Diane?What's wrong?" Diane held her knee taking a breath

"Read....the damn...newspaper..."

She hand me the rolled newspaper.As I open it,I widen my eyes.Bold writing for the headlines

Insomnia Falls

I shook my head

"No,this must be a joke.."

"I wish it was a joke,(Y/n).But it's true..."

I started to read the newspaper

"As treaty room tempers flared,blasts lit the night sky.When the smoke about the Citadel had cleared,King Regis was found...... Dead....."

I sigh.King Regis is like a father to me.

"Diane we're leaving right now."

I put the newspaper on a table

"Let's head to Lestallum...We have no other choice.I just hope we could see Lulu again (Luna's nickname)." I continue

"Yes,your right..."

As I walk outside,I heard a muffle voice

"Is this your idea of a joke?"

Yep,that's him.I didn't bother to stop.When we reach to the bridge,I hear several meows.I look down and see a white cat staring at me

"Aw,don't worry little guy.I get you a fish.Come on Diane,let's fish.."

"Uh...Lestall-?" I cut her off by running to the decks

"Excuse me sir,can I rent two fish rods?"

"Of course,anythin' for a lady." The man smile warmly

"Thank you so much,sir."

"Your welcome."

I walk towards the end of the deck and sit down.Diane just arrived and sit next to me.

"Here you go..." I hand her one fishing rod

"Thanks..."

-30 minutes later-

"Finally got a fish..." I reeling(?) the fish.

"Okay,now let's go..." Diane look at me

When we arrive at the place where there's a cat.I gently put the fish in front of it.The cat smell and hiss

"You don't like it?I guess we have to cook it."

Both of us run towards the counter

"Excuse me,miss..." I try to take the waitress attention

"Yes?"

"If you don't mind,can you cook the fish.I want to give it to the cat outside."

"Sure of course.Please wait for a few minutes..."

While we're waiting for the fish to cook,I said to Diane

"Diane,remind me to call Cor later."

"What?What for?"

"Just remind me."

Diane nod

"Here you go miss.No payment." I smile

"Thank you..."

I give the fish to the cat.The cat quickly eats the fish

"Good bye,little buddy." I wave to the cat and start running towards my car

-10 minutes of driving-

"Diane,take my phone and call Cor.Put it in loud speaker." Diane obey what I said

"Hello." I can hear Cor's voice through the speaker

"Cor,its me.Is it true what's in the paper?" Cor sigh

"I knew you would ask this."

I just kept silent until he continues

"Yes,its true..."

"How's Insomnia?"

"Not good.All building crumble and some of it fell.Thankfully,the citizens manage to get out from Insomnia."

"Thanks for the information,Cor.
I really appreciate it."

"No problem,princess."

Beep

"Diane,call Iris that we're on the way."

"Sure thing,(y/n)..."

"Hello,Iris.Yeah,we're on the way now.Probably we'll be there in 30 minutes.Okay,yeah....Bye..."

"So,what did Iris said?" I glance at Diane

"She said okay.Plus there's some refugees there..."

"Noctis wouldn't be there right?"
I ask Diane

"I think it's impossible.He might just want to turn back to Insomnia."

"Yeah,your right."

And the rest of the driving went silent until we arrive at Lestallum

"Wow,its so lively here just like back in Surgens." Diane stare at the people around

"Yeah,its always lively in Surgens especially at the market.." I chuckle remembering that Diane was accused for stealing the fruits

"If your talking about THAT time,I won't forgive you." Diane death glare at me

"Okay,okay.Chill.Didn't say anything about that time." I walk out the car after I park it nearby the hotel.

"Come on,Iris at The Leville."

My cousin run to The Leville.

When we are at the lobby,we see Iris talking to a boy

"(N/n)!Diane!" Iris tackle us

"I miss you guys so much!!!"

"Okay,stop it..I can't breathe..." Patting Iris's back

"So,how's the journey?"

"Meh,not awesome..."

"Oh,Talcott come here!" She's waving to the kid

"Yeah,what is it?"

"(N/n),Diane meet Talcott.Talcott meet (N/n) an Diane."

"It's a pleasure to meet you." The brown haired boy bow

"Sure,me too." I smile

"Talcott's grandpa is at the market.He'll be back soon.Now,lets go to our room!" Iris giggle
