''Dating somebody?...'' Al questioned seeing his brother look unsure but nod, ''Yeah... It's a surprise isn't it?...'' Edward said with a nervous laugh looking at the uncomfortable cat form Envy took, seeing him move around angrily at Alphonse's petting, ''It's not Winry is it...'', ''No...'' Edward said getting the uncomfortable shapeshifted homunculus back onto his lap. ''Is it the Colonel...'' The suit of armor asked seeing his brother react and blush slightly, ''Why of all people you would think him?'' Edward asked in a defensive tone, ''Because you two have been acting strange since a few days back...'', ''As if, he did admit to having feelings for me but you're wrong....''. ''Than who is it Brother?'' The suit of armor asked getting to the point seeing Edward make a face, ''....I.... Um...'' The small alchemist stammered feeling Envy move around trying to escape his grip, to escape out the open window, ''....I.... Um... You're going to judge me, I just know it...'' He said to himself holding Envy's cat form tightly shooting him a look.
''I'm your brother.... You can trust me...'' Alphonse said seeing his brother fidget around looking down nervously at the strange purple eyed black cat, ''...Those eyes look familiar...'' The suit of armor thought reaching his hand over to him pulling it back when the black cat hissed at him, hitting him with his paw. ''...Envy...'' Edward said with a sigh making Envy's cat form growl but calm down, ''Envy?...'' Al asked confused seeing his brother close his eyes sigh, and take a deep breath quiet for a long moment, ''Brother... Quit joking, Envy is always trying to kill you, why would you be with someone like that." Al said a bit harshly stinging Envy. "But-", "Look if you're dating the Colonel, fine... You can tell me when you're ready." The suit of armor continued looking at the cat who seemed frustrated, "To name a cat after someone who doesn't like you, you're not getting sick by any chance?" Alphonse said simply getting up and looking down to his quiet older brother who looked down.
"Yeah... Maybe I am..." Edward replied quietly reacting when Envy had scratched his arm making him wince and react in pain when Envy's cat form left out the window, "Ow!... Fuck that hurt!..." Edward said not surprised at Envy's reaction, "Brother, are you okay!" Alphonse asked worried when seeing the scratches bleed, seeing his brother brush it off with a smile. "It's fine, the cat must of been moody... Haha..." Edward said with a laugh as the blood ran down his arm and drop on top of the red rose on his lap, "Let me grab you something to clean it off!" Alphonse screamed with Envy back in his usual form making a face scowling as he heard the suit of armor scramble to tend to his brother, "Sick huh?..." Envy said simply with a bothered expression. Roy who was tired from that day's work was surprised to see Edward sitting on his steps, looking up to him with his large golden eyes seeming a bit tired, but still greet him with his usual snarky tone, ''Seems like I have to make the move myself, because you're to scared to do so, useless colonel.'' Envy said in Edward's form seeing the flame alchemist look surprised but smile at him, ''Fullmetal...''.
