Chapter 2. First date

"Emma! Get out of bed if you want to go on the date!" Emma's mom yelled.
Emma hopped out of bed. 'Today is the day!' she thought. She danced around while getting ready.
She brushed her teeth listening to one direction. Brushed her hair listening to Katy Perry and ate breakfast watching Spongebob.
When Emma walked down the steps, she saw Dylan, smiling at her. "He's here.'' he smirked.
"What's with the smirk?" she asked. "Oh nothing," he replied.
Emma walked out, her eyes following him.
"Bye mom!" she yelled. Emma's mom came sprinting down the stairs. "Bye Emma." she said. She glared at Austin. "Keep an eye on her." He said. Austin nodded.
Emma got into his car and she just had to ask, "I thought that you were dating that girl Alyson?" Austin replied, "we broke up." his voice dropped. "Oh I'm sorry." said Emma. "Phbt, I'm not. She was so uptight and loud." He said. She nodded.
The ride was quiet and sort of awkward. Emma just went through her twitter and looked at her account.

When they arrived, Austin- a gentlemen- opened the door for Emma. "Thank you." she said.
When they were walking, out of the blue, Austin grabbed Emma's hand and started to hold it. Emma got butterflies.
He looked at her and smiled. She blushed.
When they entered the park she could smell the hotdogs boiling in the water. "Mmmm," she moaned a little to loud.
Austin's lips slipped out a laugh. "Sorry.'' she said. Her cheeks turned red. "It's ok, I'm hungry too." he said back.
They went to the little subway shop and got some subs. Emma got a ham and cheese and Austin got a steak and cheese.
Emma took out her wallet. "It's ok I got it," she stopped Austin from getting out his wallet.

When the game started Emma got bored. She spent most of the time texting Lily and playing candy crush on her phone.
Every once in awhile she looks up at the score board to see the score. 54-36. Lakers are winning!
When the game was over Emma ran as fast a she could to reach the entrance. "Emma, why are you running?" Austin asked. "Austin, I really don't know. All the crowds and everything." She lied. He nodded.
When they got to the car Emma got in. "Did you have fun?" Austin asked. Emma sat silently until,"Phbt, ya I did." she lied again."no you didn't." he said looking at her. "Is it that obvious?" she asked. He nodded.
"Sorry. I guess sports just aren't my thing." Emma said. She sighed. Austin put his hand on her leg. "Emma, I just realized this but you are everything that I really need in my life." She smiled. "And I feel the same way about you."
For the rest of the ride home Emma and Austin told embarrassing stories about the childhood. "When I was in preK, there was a girl name Stacey and she pooped her pants on sprinkler day and puked in the pool." Austin gagged and laughed a little at the same time. So did Emma. "I don't see why Alyson would dump you. You're awesome." Emma said. He blushed. 'It's true.' She thought.
When Austin dropped Emma off, Emma's mom came storming outside. "Oh Emma! You're back!" she exclaimed. "Mom I went on a date, I didn't join the army." she said. Emma's mom looked at her. "Oh I know but I missed you so much," Emma was embarrassed. 'Thank goodness Austin is gone' she thought. "Mom, I was only gone for two hours." she said again.
Emma pushed out of the hug and walked inside. She took out her phone and texted Lily. 'I had an awful time!' she texted. 'I love Austin but I hate sports!' Emma texted again. 'Wow call me tonight, I'm at my aunt's house.' she texted. Emma sighed.

When dinner came around, she stilled hasn't heard from Lily.
She checked her phone every 5 minutes and nothing! Finally, Emma decided that enough was enough. She decided to skip dinner.
She hopped on her bike and pedaled as fast as she could to Lily's house. She had to cross the uptown district.
All was not as Emma had planned when he took that ride. She just remembered that she had to ride through the grave yard.
Emma buffed up and tarted to peddle hard. She dodged the graves one by one until...
"Hey!" a strange voice called behind the grave. Emma stopped.
"Wait!" the boy voice yelled.
"Get off the bike this instance!" Emma stepped off. They strange figure showed himself. He took a look at Emma. "Wait I've seen you at school before." Said the voice. Emma instantly knew who it was but she remained silent. "You're dating Austin Bankerson." His name is Josh. Emma nodded. Josh stepped up to her and slapped her. "That's what you get! He was my best friend, until he met you!" Josh yelled.
Emma fell to the ground in pain. Her face aching and head throbbing. Josh kicked her in the side before he left her alone.
When she fell she hit her head on a grave, so she blacked out.

"Emma! Emma! Emma!" was all she heard. The last thing she remembered was getting abused by Josh.
Emma looked around and realized she was in the hospital. "Mom, Dad!" was all she said.
