We walked through the halls, belting out in song. At least Marisol and I were.
"If you wanna be my lover! You gotta get with my friend!" We sang in unity until Marisol burst out and yelled.
"Take it Hana!" Hana laughed and sang quietly.
"Make it last forever."
"Friendship never ends!" We screamed together and I threw my arms around Marisol and Hana pulled them into one big walking hug. We laughed and fell to the ground, due to my clumsiness. Lol.
"Ladies, you should try to tone it done." Theo smiled politely. Ah! Da baby! I smiled and nodded, of course I would listen to him, same for Marisol... and Hana was always quiet.
"Plus what are you doing so late after school anyways." Mason said, looking down at us, who laid sprawled out on the floor.
"Chillin'." I laughed, my arms still around both of them.
"Retards! Get off the floor." Jayden said, walking down the stairs that were just to the right of us.
"Boy! Fight me!" Marisol challenged while she laid on the floor like a slug.
"Square up, Mate!" I called out as well.
"Damn. Livi, you're accents suck." Marisol laughed.
"What? No way?" I cried out in horror.
"Yeah, this is going to be a problem one day." Marisol hummed, "I'll have to teach you."
"Yes Ma'a-" I was cut off as my body left the ground, Jayden held me and Marisol in his arms, He threw me over his shoulder like a dead deer and put Marisol gently on his shoulder to rest.
"C'mon you crack heads. We're gonna be late to dinner." Jayden smiled. Although I couldn't see his face I knew.
"Hana, will you be eating with us tonight?" Jayden asked politely.
"Yeah." She smiled then stood up. Her eyes lit up and she chimed.
"Oh! I forgot my text books! I'll be right back! Meet me outside." She began to run up the stair and out of my view.
"Alright well we are going to leave as well. Right, Mason?" Theo said.
"Turn me around! I can't see!" I whined from behind.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." Jayden grinned through his voice.
"I can hear your stupid smirk!" I cried, kicking my legs. I could hear all of them laugh and I just whined.
"Stupid heads." I groaned. I perked my head up quickly, what was that?
"Did you.. Did you guys hear that?" I asked, lifting my head.
"Hear what?" Marisol asked.
"That-that scream." I asked quietly. "Ahh!" It called again.
"There it is again!" I cried, squirming.
"Jayden! Let her down, the blood must be rushing to her head!" Mason said and Jayden shifted my feet down to the ground. "Help!" The voice cried once more before I heard gargles. My heart sped up and I took off running, it sounded like it was coming from upstairs.
"Hana?!" I screamed, sprinting upstairs. Fear taking place in my heart. Why did i feel like this?
"Livi!" I heard Marisol shout running after me. But I didn't stop running. My body collided with another and I could feel the familiarity of the body, it was Hana. I felt relieved and hit Marisol, falling down stairs. We fell onto the floor and Marisol shouted.
"What the hell? Are you okay?" She screamed. I looked down at Hana to asked if she was okay but instead I saw... A rope?
Rope tied around Hana's neck. What? Why was it there? Was she okay? Her eyes seemed glassy and fear was present on her face.
"H-hana?" I shook her body but it moved lifelessly. Her head rolled unnaturally. She was dead??
"Hana?!" I asked louder, shaking her body more so, I made what should've been eye contact with her and she seemed lifeless, she was lifeless. The realization that I was holding my best friend's dead body creeped up into my mind.
"AHH!" I screamed, throwing her body off of me and pushing Marisol back as well.
"What the hell? Jayden and Mason asked at the same time.
"She-she." I stuttered, crawling away from my once previously alive friend.
"She what?" Marisol asked trying to see around me.
"Dead!" I screamed, throwing myself onto my feet, ready to run away but a hand caught me, Mason. I tried to rip myself from his grip, but he pulled me into him. I buried my face into his chest and screamed. I could hear Marisol sobbing and Jayden shushing her. What had happen?
"Hello? 911?" I heard Theo frantically say. He never stuttered but now his voice quivered. I screamed into Mason's chest, scared, confused, and angry.
"What the hell?!" I heard someone scream, "Is- is Marisol okay?" He suddenly asked.
"Hana..." Marisol whimpered. I pulled away from Mason, looking up at him, he was a boy of teasing and his eyes were always mischievous somehow but now he looked worried and scared. He met my eyes and smiled down at me, or at least tried. I sniffled and that's when I realized that I had been crying on Mason. Tears welled up in my eyes again and I pulled myself into a hug with him. Holding him close to me. I never wanted to hold a lifeless thing again, ever.
