Chapter 5

Dan
She wakes up and sees me standing there all dressed up looking at her like if she was a stranger.
-Is everything alright there? You look a bit confused.
-Well... I mean... if by confused, you mean I don't understand how you're here... and I don't remember anything from last night...
-Well...
-Wait... Do I want to know? Or if something happened, i'm sorry but I wasn't there. 'Coz clearly I would have remembered! I don't want you to get your hopes up. I'm sorry if I lead you to think I was into you. I'm not really interested. I mean i'm interested but not in... well...
-Okay stop! Listen! The reason you don't remember is-
-Yeah

-Would you let me speak?!
-Yeah ,sorry, go.
-Here is how it went...

Phil
I arrive at the castle. I just can't seem to get the motivation to knock, i mean, what's gonna happen next? Okay maybe I should just not ask questions and just go for it.
I knock on the door. The king's servant opens the door.
-Well hello young boy, why are you here in this fine morning hour?
-I need to talk to the prince!
-I'm sorry but-
-Oh, actually do you know if a girl stayed over night? Because if so she's my friend and i'm very worried. Would you please help me?
-Yes, of course. Wait a moment here, i'll go fetch the prince for you.
I stay there, outside, too scared to even step inside. I don't know what i wish more: for her to be there and alive, or for her to be; who knows where?
I here the door open once again and can see Bella in her night dress.I look away.
-Don't worry it's fine i just didn't want you to freak out for too long so i didn't take the time to change. And anyways it's like a normal dress.
-How... When... Where...Why did you come here?
-Just come in and come speak with Dan and I.
-So you call him Dan now!?
-Just come in!
I follow her to the living room where Dan is waiting, in his night clothes. His shirt slightly unbuttoned, his hair still perfect. He still looks good- Hum, i mean he looks normal, like... a normal prince.
-Sit.
-Now you both listen carefully because i won't repeat: Yesterday night, we were heading back home and got into a fight, I couldn't bare to hurt you anymore Phil and i didn't want to be hurt either, so i got off our ride and was heading back to my aunt's house. It was the closest place so i went there. I knocked but there was no answer, everybody was sleeping and i didn't want to bother them so, i decided to head back to the castle. I thought: the prince kind of knows me now so he'll be kind enough to let me in. I arrived at the castle a while after and didn't know what to do to ask for something in a castle. So i just knocked. Your servant opened the door, Dan, and kindly let me in saying that he saw me dance with you earlier in the evening. I told him my story and kindly let me stay. I asked if it would be okay with the king and he said he was a good friend and was aloud to invite people he knew inside when they needed it. I thought there were a dozen rooms in a castle, looks like there are only one for every helper in the castle, one for the king, and one for the prince. He told me to sleep in the prince's room. At first i didn't agree but i realised i had nothing to be afraid of. Since... well... anyways!
*she glares at Dan*
-I put one of your mother's night dresses and went to sleep without you even noticing me. Nothing happened. Everything went fine. And you woke up this morning freaking out.
-So that's it? You only SLEPT here? Then why did you have to wait to tell me this. I was freaking out this morning.
-I'm sorry, I'll go change and let you two talk.
She leaves the room and it becomes very silent.
-I'm very sorry for you being worried, i would have told you if i could have but i didn't even know it myself.
-It's fine. Don't worry. It's not your fault anyways.
He smiles at me. And before i can say anything Bella comes back all dressed up.
-So thank you very much for being so humble and kind but i think i have to go back to my house. My dad must be worried. Come Phil.
I get back to my horse but Bella stays 5 more minutes just to say something to the prince. I can see in his eyes that he is surprised and scared. She Hops on and i ask:
-What did you tell him?
-Oh nothing just wanted him to thank his servant for me.
She's lying. I know when she lies and right now she is lying to my face. But i don't ask anymore. We just go off and go back home to advise everyone that Isabella is okay.
I wonder what she told him? What made him so scared? Is she hiding something from me? Did something actually happen that night? I just hope it's nothing too serious. I can't handle it .
*Pause* Throwback*
Isabella stays inside to talk to Daniel for something.
-I didn't tell the whole story, but I keep secrets when they are not mine. When i got into your room I saw a paper on the ground, i picked it up, took my candle to see what was written, and this is what it said:
I really hope nobody ever finds out about my secret. I really like him but no one can know. Phil is my first love and has to be my last boy love. I need to be like my father and i need to become king and have a queen as my wife.
-Don't worry i'll keep it a secret but don't you ever tell him anything and don't ever say you love him again. You know what that can cost you so if you tell him anything i'll tell everyone. Goodbye!
She leaves on that note and the prince is left there... afraid.
