Chapter 1

Phil
Day 1
Ugh! Dad told me that there was an important dinner in two days, and i was obliged to go! He wanted me to get a suit and everything! I just really didn't want to go. I mean, i would have been happy if it was a small dinner but since it is for the prince's birthday, I know it won't be a small party! I actually really liked sophisticated things, except the suit because i had to buy it. Even though i wasn't happy with this, i still got prepared and was ready within one day.

Day 2
I woke up with a knock on my door. I got up and answered the annoying door! Once I opened the door, I saw this guy that looked like a stable boy.
-Hi! he said excitedly.
-What do you want? i asked impatient.
-I am here to remind mr.Lester that he has been invited to tomorrow's ball for the prince's birthday!
-Yeah that i knew but is his son really invited? i asked with hope.
-Humm... Actually the one who is invited is mr.Lester, the son. His father is invited if he wants but he is the one actually invited.
-Really? Fine! You can go now, stupid stable boy! Oh, and by the way, we already knew we were invited so you're actually wasting my time!
-Humm... I'm not...
He only had time to start his sentence before I shut the door in his face!
-Who was it you were talking to like that son? You know we speak in a polite and sophisticated language!
My father was so annoying sometimes but he knew i was right when i said:
-Ugh! Just a stable boy that insulted me by almost saying to my face that i had alzheimer! He came over to remind us that we (well I) had been invited to the prince's birthday! He almost humiliated me in front of Lady Isabella!
Lady Isabella is the woman who my dad thinks i'm in love with. But she's just a friend and i don't like her that way. I have never had any girl on my mind, yet again: i might not have found her yet.
Like my dad says: I'm still young and have some time.
-Oh well sorry son. That boy looks like a miserable person. But it is still not a good way to speak to people. Our name is known for one thing boy, and that is our good manners, so keep them up and you will be the next great mr.Lester.
I sighed, and walked away to the garden. Lady Isabella was there. She looked at me and knew something was wrong.
-Whats wrong? Does your father still think you're in love with me?
-Yeah but thats not the reason i'm like this. And by the way I actually make him think i'm in love with you so he doesn't need to figure out anything cause he is positive I love you! It's actually very easy to trick him.
-Wow I can't believe you! What if I find my true love?! Will you just play the game with your dad again and tell him you're heartbroken?
-No! Because that'll never happen since I'm the only one you love.
-If only I could prove you wrong!.. I wish I could find somebody but instead I'm stuck with you "a friend".
-Ha ha very funny! Hey wanna play hide and seek? You hide i'll find!
-Surely! Lets play!
Bella (thats how i call her when my dad is not around) and I played hide and seek for a while and the rest of the day went perfectly well! Except for the fact that my mind kept on thinking about tomorrow.

Day 3
Okay! So I woke up this morning and everything was fine until my dad told me that he wasn't coming with me to the dinner! So I am going to be alone over there! I tried to look pitiful but nothing worked! I then went in the garden to meet with Bella and I told her everything.
-Can you believe he did that to me!
-Well actually...
-No but seriously I'm not going!
-I mean...
-Ugh! I really didn't...
I got cut by Isabella:
-Are you going to let me speak for once ?! Okay! thank you! Now, listen! I have been invited and was actually planning on not going but if you want me to go I'll go with you okay?
-Really? You would do that for me?
-You have no idea what I would do for you.
-Okay! Then let's get ready woman!
-Don't ever speak to me that way!
While saying that she approached me and slapped me in the face. I deserved it!
We all get ready and we were ready at 4 o'clock. Our carriage arrived and me and Isabella got in.
-Hey hum... Should we act like a couple? Like, be a fake couple so they don't ask questions? Bella asked.
-Yeah... Sure. I mean even if we don't act like a couple people already think we are together. So lets just be us.
We stayed quiet for the rest of the ride. It was kind of awkward. The castle was only 30 minutes away. We arrived and the castle looked fantastic or shall i say: very sophisticated. Isabella got out first and its the first time I realised how beautiful she was. I mean I knew she was a pretty girl but its the first time that I saw her as a woman. I still definitely knew I didn't love her that way. I got out of the carriage after and Isabella took my arm and we marched into the king's castle. I looked in front of me and I saw that stable boy from the day before.
-Bella!
-Whats wrong?
-Thats the stupid stable boy who thought I had a memory problem!
She glanced up and looked at him. I saw the sparkle in her eye as soon as her eyes and his met.
-Really? Him? He's kind of cute..
-What?! He insulted me! You can't say that!
-Ugh! I would have never come if i knew you were going to control who I should find cute or not! Phil its my life! Your starting to look like your dad!
-Don't ever say that again! And plus weren't we supposed to act like a couple?
-Yeah...
-Well couples don't flirt with other people!
-Fine! But after tonight, I don't guarantee that i'll listen to you!
We went in and were amazed by the beauty of the castle. It wasn't really decorated for the prince's birthday but it didn't have to be. It was so pretty.
A guy escorted us to our table. We were sitting with some people I didn't know. They all asked if Isabella and i were a thing. We didn't even answer. We left them in the mystery. The king presents himself and says:
-Ladies and gentlemen, You are all here today to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. He didn't really to make a big deal out of it but I think it's very important and so I decided to prepare a party and he finally agreed and chose the people to invite. So all of you have been invited by him, he actually went to everyone's house by himself to remind you, you had been invited.
Suddenly I stop listening. I don't know why. I guess my body wants to tell me something.
-So... My son Daniel!
This boy arrives in the room I recognise him! Oh my god! It's the stable boy! He wasn't a stable boy he was the prince and I insulted him! I am in deep trouble!
