I married an amazing man. For the first time, ever, I had found someone that accepted me for just who I was. And believe me, I was not what he was expecting, or honestly, what he was looking for. But together, we just worked.  I know how hard that is in this day and age. Marriage seems to have lost all of its meaning.

I am saddened when I see all of these marriages that fall apart. Mostly I hear that people just can not agree or get along. That the other person in the relationship was trying to change them. People have forgotten what marriage is actually about.

In marriage, both of you change, for the better. You blend, creating this symbiotic relationship that allows you to face each day after and the next one after that. You change together, not for each other, but because of each other. You blend yourselves into something better. Through good and bad you learn and you grow. There is anger and frustration, how could there not be, but the idea is to work together to find a solution and if you can't, then agree to disagree and move on.

Marriage is about creating something better than what either of you came from.

Marriage is beautiful and real.

This seems to of become forgotten, or lost. Our souls bleed for this loss. Because it is a loss of Leight. A loss to our soul. Happiness is not a creation, it is an existence, and we are pushing ourselves further and further from it. Why?
