The moon was sliding down the horizon as the sun's rays started to rise above the grassy hills.
A young kit squirmed in the warm nursery. He felt a light paw bat his ear.
"No!" He sqeeeked.
Grumble
Grumble
"I don't want to get up!"
"But you have too!" A kit behind him squeeked.
"Me, Sedgekit, Deepkit, and you were going to EXPLORE today! Don't you remeber?"
Oh of cource he remembered! Sunkit doesn't forget!
"No, I don't remember. Can I sleep now?"
"Pff!" The pale colored kit squirmed. "Come ON! You sound worse than Webfoot!"
Sunkit opened his eyes, revealing newleaf green. He looked up at his den mates.
"Am not!" He scuffed.
"Are to!"
"Am not!"
"Are-" Rosekit was cut off by her mother, Willowfur.
"Rosekit! Don't tell me you were planning to sneak out?!"
Rosekit's lowered her ears. "No mother."
Another she-cat spoke up. "You to Sunkit?"
Sunkit stood up and snorted. "I wanted to sleep, but Rosethorn over here bounced on me!"
"Did not!" Rosekit hissed. "That was a cough!"
(Anyone get the refrence? xD)
"No," said Sunkit examining his tiny claw. "That was a bounce."
"Cough"
"Bounce"
"Cough-"
"Alright! Enough you two!" Gorsetail meowed with slight amusement. "Go on! Shoo! I don't want to hear from either of you till sunhigh!" She pushed the two kits out the nursry entrence. Right into the paws of a snickering Sagekit.
"You two done flirting now?" Sagekit meowed.
"Ugh! Ew!" Both kits said in unison. Leaping off each other.
Sagekit rolled her eyes. "Alright ready to leave?"
"Yes finally!" Rosekit squeeked, leaping up.
"Ugh! Who made you in charge?" Sunkit glared at Sagekit.
"Simple," the grey kit with forest green eyes replied. "I'm older. And I, sagekit, am-"
"We get it!" Deepkit hissed. "Your almost six moons old. Doesn't mean you have to make a speech about it!" The three kits turned to Deepkit, who looked throughly annoyed and ready to strangle someone.
Sagekit simply shrugged. Her littermate was always a grump. "Comeone! Let's go!" She bounce of into toward the camp exit. With Rosekit, Sunkit, and a reluctant Deepkit following behind.
