Okay well I was just going to give you ma numba and tell you ta call me sometime she said handing him a piece of paper. I'm in my head about to go crazy because I know she ain't trying to push up on my man. I snatch the paper out his hand and tell her that he won't be needing it. Then I tell Nick to come on because my momma waiting. He tell her bye and catch up to me wrapping his arms around my waist.

Bae don't be like dhat you know I only want to be with you and plus with you as ma girl you ain't got ta worry cuz it ain't no competition.

Aww Nick you so sweet. I'm sorry for acting like that but she was clearly disrespecting me I said giving him a kiss on the lips. We finally got to the car and my mom was already in it with the car warming up. It was cold outside seeing as it was winter.

D@mn what took yall so long I been waiting for almost 10 minutes she said soon as we jumped in the car.

Oh nothing we just ran into an old friend of Nick's.

Oh okay she said turning up the radio which was playing one of her new favorites "Top of the World" by Trey Songz. She then pulled out the lot and we were on our way home.

Chapter 5

Once we got home I hung all my clothes up in my closet and put my things from Secrets in my dresser. When I got done I grabbed Nick and told my momma and daddy to call me if they need me.

Nick where do you want to go?

Um... let's go to ma crib and den we could meet up with the peeps.

Okay let's go.

It took us 15 minutes to get to his crib. He was playing to much while we were walking. Nick takes his key out and opens the door to his mom getting beat by her new boyfriend. Nick runs to his mom and drags her boyfriend off her. He then starts punching him in his face. I've never seen him so angry before, it kind of scared me but I know he would never hurt me. His mom then jumped up and was yelling for Nick to stop hitting him and that he didn't mean to hit her and that she was fine he didn't hurt her.

Ma you not fine you got a black eye and you limping, Nick said.

I said i'm fine Nick damn, his mom yelled.

So you just gone let him get away with beating yo ass. You know what i'm packing my shit and leaving, i'm tired of you letting niggas beat yo ass. One day I aint going to be here to save yo ass. Do you really want to risk your life fucking around with these no good niggas? No what don't answer that.

Nick went up the stairs and came back down 10 minutes later. When he came down his mom said that she's sorry and that she loves him. Nick then told her that he loves her too and to be safe and that he will visit and check on her soon.

We walk out the house and I asked him where is he going to live.

Bae I don't have a clue. I might go stay with one of my boys or somebody from my family.

You could come stay with me.

You really think yo momma and pops going to let me stay there, he said while giving me a look.

Well maybe if we explain your situation.

Naw I'm good I got a place to stay.

Well ok. I'm hungry lets go get some burgers and a milkshake.

We can do that bae but let's go get the people and then we can go to the movies or see if there's a party.

Can we get your car I'm tired of walking,I said in my baby voice.
