Angel Beats! 2nd Beat!

Episode 1

Authors Note:

Hey everyone, my name is Collin Tipton and I am currently writing one other fanfiction series right now titled Naruto: Separate Paths so please go check that out. But this one is based off one of my all time favorite anime, Angel Beats! I am someone who thought Angel Beats! never needed a second season and it was good on it's own. If anything it needed more episodes of the first season to build more of the characters or possibly even a remake. But I am going to try my very best to write a 2nd season anyways because I wanted to see if I can somehow make it better than I thought I could. This story will be written in script format as I believe it fits more with a sequel to an anime than a novel does. If you have a problem with that then well...my story. Now please relax, get a drink, and enjoy my story...

ANGEL BEATS! 2nd Beat!

-The story begins with Yuzuru Otonashi walking out of class. As he talks to his friends and says goodbye he begins to think himself on his way towards home.-

Yuzuru: (My name is Yuzuru Otonashi and I don't belong in this world. Well...that's a bad way of putting it. Allow me to run down why I said all that will you? A year ago I woke up in a hospital bed, my clothes were dirty and I looked really beat up but besides that, I was just fine. The clothes I had on looked reminiscent to a school uniform but the Doctors told me there is no school with the insignia it had stitched to the arm. But the weirdest thing...were these memories...or lack thereof. The doctors told me I had a serious case of amnesia but here and there I would have these random spurts of memories. But...they're more like dreams. Because in these memories...I was dead.)

-Yuzuru walks along a street wearing his getup with his small backpack on. As he walks past though, he can't help but notice a girl with white hair. She was wearing a blue top over a white dress. But what caught Otonashi's attention the most was the song she was humming...he had heard it before...in his memories...and suddenly Otonashi's eyes widen as he turns back towards the girl and runs to her and he grabs her shoulder.-

Yuzuru: Kanade!!

-Yuzuru turns the girl toward him and Kanade's yellow eyes are revealed to him. For a moment there is nothing around the two as they stare at each other.-

Kanade: W-who are...you?

Otonashi: Kanade...it's me! Otonashi...! Yuzuru Otonashi!

-Otonashi has both of Kanade's shoulders in his hand but Otonashi is suddenly surprised as he is slapped.-

Kanade: I...I don't know who you are... Don't grab me like that!

-Kanade then runs away and Otonashi looks at her as she runs.-

Otonashi: WAIT! THE SONG! I KNOW THAT SONG YOU WERE HUMMING!!

-Kanade slows down for a second and looks back at Otonashi but she then begins to run again, leaving Otonashi behind. Otonashi clenches his fist in anger at himself.-

Otonashi: (Dammit! How could I be so stupid...that was way too far. I could've at least said "Hi" first...but I know for certain...I know who she is...Kanade...Tachibana. She's the girl from my memories...)

ANGEL BEATS! 2nd Beat!

-The scene begins in Otonashi's dream. He is standing in a crowd of people, looking around in confusion as music begins to play. He remembers it from another dream he had, "Crow Song". Otonashi looks up on the stage to see Iwasawa singing. Her voice was beautiful, thought Otonashi till he was suddenly pulled away from the crowd. When Otonashi looks back to see who it was he noticed Yurippe.-

Yurippe: What are you doing watching the concert!? You're supposed to be outside helping us!

Otonashi: Huh? H-helping you do what!?
