Elora Pertersvine was angry; the kind of angry that made her want to break something, it wasn't anything she could remedy on her own. On the rare occasions that she was angry she'd vent by taking time out in solitude and think. There was something about solitude and letting the doors of your mind open that was calming to the soul.

Unfortunately this kind of anger, the kind she used or resorted to when she ignored deep hurt and melancholy did not budge no matter where or how she found seclusion, and right now she had found a place, the back of a truck. The heaviest boxes were stacked at the back of the van  like a brick wall followed by the longer items leaning against it. The remaining boxes were packed into the truck in three layers, all taped together with the heaviest on the bottom, the medium sized in the middle, and the lightest on the top.

She didn't know what to do about the disturbing turn of events. She felt like someone was laughing at her and she hated it. She counted to ten, let out a long exhausted sigh, leaned against something solid and let her mind wander.

There are at most sixteen known regions, six of which have gained immense popularity among the other. They are Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos. The region Elora currently resided in is The Hoenn Region.
It is located south of Sinnoh. Hoenn has sixteen cities and towns and a Pokémon League. These sites act as settlements for people to live and work in a functioning society. Hoenn features the largest amount of towns and cities of the six main regions.

The world she lived in was inhabited by creatures. No one knows absolutely of their origin or beginning, some say they're the oldest life forces or one of the oldest at least. Existing before the human species, raising mountains, lands, seas and oceans, travelling the mass sky, watching over everything and everyone, a silent protective watch, it was kind of surreal when she thought of it.

Physically they are pet-like sentient creatures, not much different than animals. Some of them bore striking resemblance directly to an animal. But there was more to them, they had abilities that ranged from simply naming something normal, like flying or digging, to exceptionally distinctive and extraordinary powers that have both natural and supernatural roots in living beings today, such as electricity discharge and telepathy. And because they were bearers of such distinct powers yet have such a resemblance to creatures that didn't, theories of evolution and genetic modifications soared high as well. They were and, still to this very moment are known as Pokemon.

Accordingly, each Region also has a Pokémon Professor, who teaches new Trainers about Pokémon and gives out starter Pokémon to them.

Her father is a Gym Leader, Norman Petersvine. People have come to describe her father as someone who "lives for Pokémon." Everyone always held him in high regard and praise.
The main job of a Gym Leader is to test Trainers and their Pokémon so that they are strong and resourceful enough to compete against the Elite Four in or the Pokémon League. If a Trainer defeats a Gym Leader in battle, then the Trainer earns that Gym's Badge.A Gym Leader's job is not just to test upcoming Trainers. They are a strong and watchful eye over their respective city, as they have sworn to protect it and its people, Pokemon, human and animals, all alike, with every breath they have and every ounce of strength they can muster.

Above the level of Gym Leaders are the Elite Four Trainers and Pokémon League Champion. who are regarded as the toughest in their regional Pokémon League, short of the Pokémon League Champion. Those who challenge the Elite Four must have won all eight Badges from that region and face all four and the current Champion consecutively without losing to any of them.

As the time progressed, however, the beauty and simplicity, everything that held the system , balanced the natural with the super natural was wrecked. Because there must always come a time a structure, regardless of the strongest foundations, inevitably crumbles and that is exactly what happened. There arose many who did not befriend these mystical, historical, beautiful creatures, didn't fight alongside them in battles and strengthened bonds that would last not just one but many, many lifetimes. But they used them, abused them, and controlled them.As a result there is distress among the naturally wild, but tamed Pokemon. They began lashing out, attacking any human who wandered into their vicinity. Trainers as young as the age of ten were not able to cope with this new reaction from Pokemon, whom were once so friendly and trusting.
