Chapter Three: Sugar
Sugar Pierce-Lopez woke up slowly. When she was fully awake, she looked around and panicked. This wasn't her room! Sugar was now in a fluffy pink room with every square inch packed full of extravagance. She desperately tried to figure out what had happened, still hazy from her sleep.
The others and I were working on a time machine...
Time machine! That's it!
But, where am I?
Sugar then heard an unfamiliar man's voice calling.
"Are you awake yet, my little Sugar-pop?"
Sugar-pop? Who was this guy? After a moment, Sugar decided to go down, just to get some answers.
When Sugar reached the bottom of the perfectly polished staircase, she found herself in a huge dining room. And in the middle, at the gigantic table, was a man reading a newspaper. Sugar was composed for a moment, but then saw the date on the man's newspaper.
September 14th, 2011
2011??? Oh. My. God. That time machine of Derek's actually worked! Sugar was in the past, which meant her moms were around somewhere, age 17. Freaky...
"Are you okay, Sugarsweet? You look a bit worried."
Sugar jumped a little, then made up a quick on-the-spot lie. "I'm fine! It's just that I couldn't find my favourite skirt."
"I'll buy you another one. Anything for my darling daughter! Anyway, you have to look your best for your first day at that new school."
Sugar found useful information in that: Obviously, this man thought she was his daughter. Clearly, he was rich, and Sugar was going to a new school today. And she had a sneaking suspicion that she knew which school. But, to be sure...
"Daddy, which school am I transferring to again? I forgot the name."
"It's William McKinley High School, Sugarplum Fairy. Now, what did that skirt look like? I'll order it online."
But Sugar wasn't listening. She was much too preoccupied. She had information now. Sugar Pierce-Lopez would go to that school and show her moms what a kickass daughter they would have in the future.
She hurriedly got ready, dressing up in clothes beyond her wildest dreams. After the private chaufeurred limousine took her to school, she was ready to rock the house.
As the homeroom teacher took attendance, Sugar got a shock. Apparently, everyone here thought her name was Sugar Motta. "Here, and more fabulous than everyone in this room put together! Sorry, Asperger's!"
And that was how Sugar Pierce-Lopez-Motta got her first detention of the year.
