Hello and welcome to this week's interview. Sorry I'm late.

Anyways, let's welcome, Booknerdswift!

How are you feeling about this interview today?

Nervous, but good.

Could you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

Well, I'm Chinese-American. I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school.

I discovered that I love to write in fourth grade and ever since then, I've been on and off with it until around seventh or eighth grade when I started to write even more.

Besides writing, I also love to read and write.

So, what are some of your works?

I have some published, but two that are actually completed are Mason Colt and Bad Blood.

Mason Colt is basically the typical love story between the popular boy and nerd. Since it's my first book I actually wrote, the grammar and everything is pretty bad.

Bad Blood is about a girl who gets betrayed by her best friend. She then has to struggle with dealing with all of the bullying that happens to her, even though she knows that what they say is true. I'm not a big fan of the character development in this since I left some important details out.

I'm currently working on Broken Home which is a little similar to Bad Blood. I do have other stories that I'm working on, but those will get revealed later.

How much effort have you put into your writings?

I put almost everything into it, even if it's after midnight and I'm falling asleep while writing. I don't give anything 50%.

You sound very dedicated.

How late have you stayed up before?

I once stayed up to three in the morning because I couldn't fall asleep. I think the latest I ever stayed up to write was from one to two in the morning.

Sometimes I would try to stay up but I'd always fall asleep.

Anyways, how long or how much do you try to write per day?

It depends on if I have writer's block or not. If I have motivation and inspiration, then I could write and lose track of time. If I have writer's block, then I probably won't write until I can figure out where I'm going to go next with the scene/chapter/book.

Do you have a set schedule for writing?

Nope. I write whenever I can as long as I won't get in trouble of course.

I usually write the most when I'm in the car or in my room. If I had a schedule, I probably wouldn't be able to stick to it.

What has been the best compliment you've ever received on your writing?

Not word for word, but it was on Bad Blood (forgot if it was on Wattpad or 5SOS Fam Amino). Someone said they liked how the main character is going through something that actually happens to people in real life. The situation isn't the best, but it does happen.

Yes, realism is great and sometimes might make a story very relatable.

Tell us a little bit about your plans for future. Where do you see yourself as a writer in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself with all these ideas still. I hope to have a book published by then, but doesn't everyone who wants to be an author?

Yep, I agree with you.

Have you thought about what you would do instead if you hadn't chosen the writing path?

That's a hard one. Okay. Let's see. I would still be a reader and I probably wouldn't major in English next year for college.

Wow, English major!

What tactics do you have when it comes to writing?

I don't really outline my books. I usually know how I want it to end, so I just usually write what I feel would be best to get there. I did for Mason Colt, outline the last couple of chapters.

How long does it take to finish a book?

It depends on how many times I get writer's block, get distracted with an idea, and how much time I have. It also depends on if I know where I'm headed with it and if I'm still interested in the idea.

Alrighty, if you have a superpower what would it be?

I would have to say either flexibility or shape-shifting into people and animals. Flexibility because that would be so cool to have the flexibility of a gymnast or Sophia Lucia. Shape-shifting because then I'd be able to change into animals or people. It would be cool to go under a door if you're locked out.

I would just be happy if I was in shape.

Sadly, we are nearing our interview, so would would you like to say to your fans and the readers?

Thank you! I love getting your feedback and everything. You're part of why I love to write, why I keep updating my stories, and everything.
