"Jane! Listen to me. This is for his own good. For his future! Don't you want what's best for him?!" Mom tried to convince Jane to let Bruce go to SAB with me.
"Mary, I don't know about this... How will I pay you back? I'm already indebted with the Mafia." Jane responded. I walked away from the door. Voices faded away as I walk into my room, where Bruce was.
"Lifelong friends, right? I mean, we were best friends, and still are, since diapers. Trust..." Bruce stopped. He looked down at the balcony. His arms spread out, head dropped to his chest in defeat. I wrapped my arms around him.
"Bruce... I had to, it was for the better. The better for your future! You can't stay mad at me. My mom is going to take of it." I laid my head on his back. He didn't say anything. We stood in silence for a good 5 minutes.
As the silence extends, the sun sets itself to sleep. Bruce exhaled. Gently, he removed my body, walking inside the room. I follow him, but kept a distance. A knock on my door came.
"Lumina, Bruce is needed." Mother demand. He lift himself up and went out the door. Still not a word.
