Chapter 7

Keshia POV

The next morning, I woke up to an empty bed. Surprisingly, I had no missed calls or text messages from Anthony.

I rolled out of the large bed, and went into the bathroom to start the shower. Not even minutes later, I heard my phone ring and it was Moma Cox, I slid the green button and answered.

"Hello moma" I said politely.

"Where in the hell are you? Why weren't you at home last night and why are you not at school?" I could tell she was upset. After deeply breathing a couple of times, I answered her

"Ma, did you get any of my texts, and Skylar didn't tell you?"

"Yeah I got your texts but you were suppose to call me! Where the fuck are you?" she was now screaming into the phone, and I didn't really want to catch an attitude for the only adult I had in my life.

"I'm at my boyfriend house Ma, since you would be working I thought I would just stay with him. Aren't you at work right now anyways?" I asked. Moma Cox loved me and she just wanted me to be protected which I could tell.

"Yes, Keshia, I am at work right now but I took a break. I want to meet this boyfriend of your's."

"I need to talk to Skylar so I'll be home today, and I'll ask you if I can go back to his house if that's okay with you. What time will you be home?"

"Well, it's about 11 right now so I'll be home around 5, so be there or that's your ass. Goodbye Keshia."

"Bye ma, love you."

"I love you too baby."

Since I was on the phone about 10 minutes, I'd went in the bathroom and Ant was in there. I didn't even see his ass go in the bathroom. Waiting for him to get out the shower would be about another 10 minutes. I made my way downstairs to make me something to eat. Ant had me really twisted thinking that I was just about to stay eating little hot pockets and cereal. Hell no. Just so I wouldn't be hungry, I got a bowl, filled it up with Frosted Flakes, milk, and a little sugar.

I still needed to get in the shower, so after eating I washed out my bowl and I heard some noises from Ant's bedroom. I turned around quickly and there was Ant who just scared the hell out of me.

"Anthony Michael Davis, don't you ever scare me like that again." I yelled at him.

"Bae, why are you yelling, I was just playing with you."

"Its not fucking funny boy, I almost could have stabbed your ass." I started to giggle myself knowing that I could never stab him but that in all actuality I was just overreacting. I made my way back up the stairs and got into the shower.

After I took what felt like an hour long shower, I went ahead and put on my clothes which was some, a white and yellow cardigan from Forever 21, black skinny jeans, and my Taxi's that Ant got for me. I kept my hair curly since it got wet while I was in the shower.

"Bae" I called out while tying my shoe laces.

"I'm in the den Keshia," he responded.

I tied the left shoe and finally walked out of the room. When I'd had the long conversation with moma Cox, I did realize that she needed the meet the person that I was spending all of my time with. Once I finally made it to the den, Anthony was playing on his phone so I took it from him and put it in my boob.

"Keshia, hand me my shit." he sounded aggravated but that wasn't stopping me.

"I need to talk to you without you being on your phone so just sit and listen to me. My mom wants to meet you, she's kind of upset with me that I didn't call and tell her what happened between your ex and I." I finished explaining moma Cox to Anthony, and that she all she needed to know was that he had a stable home for him and I to stay at.
