JinJin had been staring at his ring for hours. Sure, life as an idol was great – but it was lonely sometimes, too.

Of course he would have his bandmates to keep him company, but he longed for someone that wouldn't just nod to everything he had to say. That, and he wanted to be the first to find his soulmate.

The guys always teased him about thinking about his soulmate so much, but how could he not? His ring had been flashing more frequently lately, and she was asking for help by doing so. He loved it, yet he hated it.

It was great that she was asking for help, but he had no idea on who or where she was – there was no way he could actually help her.

When his ring suddenly flashed once he was able to show a slightly relieved smile, but when it wouldn't stop shining, his heart sank. Whoever his soulmate was wasn't thinking very positive, and if he had learned anything from shows and movies, that wasn't a good sign.

He got up from his chair and grabbed his coat, throwing it on quickly and going outside. He had no idea on where to start, but his feet seemed to move on their own – something that reminded him of what his mother used to say.

"When you're in desperate need of your soulmate," She'd tell him, "You'll find her. You'll be with her before you even realized you had left the house."

His eyes searched the busy streets quietly yet as fast as possible, in hopes of seeing someone out of the ordinary that needed saving.

The people he passed all yelled at him for bumping into them or fangirled when realizing who he was, but he had no time to pay attention to that. He didn't want to say that his soulmate was more important than his carreer, but someone's life may have been on the line and that held significant importance to him.

He panted as the cold air brushed past his face, his feet leading him left and right before stopping at the end of a pier. A few metres in front of him was a girl, feet sturdy on the edge of the pier as she overlooked the ocean in front of her.

He checked his ring a final time and was able to confirm that he found his soulmate, although the state of her being wasn't exactly what he wanted.

She seemed to want to step off of the pier, but JinJin refused to let it happen. He ran to the edge and grabbed her wrist, feeling her flinch under his touch as she slowly turned around to face him.

Her beautiful eyes were filled with tears, her silky hair was sticking to her damp face and her beautiful skin was covered in scars.

He quietly yet gently traced the scars with his thumb, before moving his hands up to her face to dry her tears.

After a long while her eyes met his, and a small spark seemed to light between the two of them. JinJin was always told that when he and his soulmate would both realize they were the one and only for each other, their actions would momentarily be controlled by their heart rather than their brain.

Before he knew it, he found his lips atop of the girl's and felt his heart skip a beat, mind clouded by the satisfying feeling of finding her.

They didn't say a single word after they pulled apart but the girl instantly hugged him, still fighting her tears as she listened to his beating heart. Unlike hers, his sounded like it wanted to be beating.

JinJin smiled softly as he rested her chin on her head, his hand slowly brushing through her hair as he closed his eyes. "I'm really glad I found you in time."

{F/N} was still surprised, but without realizing, words left her soft, chapped lips. "... I'm... Really glad you did too...."

JinJin pried her hands away from his torso before holding them, rocking them back and forth slightly as he rocked on his heels.

"Now, we should get to know each other. My name's Park Jinwoo, but I'm better known as JinJin from Astro. What about you?"

{F/N} was able to show a small smile before shrugging her shoulders, "It's such an honor to be your soulmate, Jinwoo-oppa. I'm {F/N}. {L/N} {F/N}."

The boy was still smiling as he squeezed her hand, slowly leading her away from the pier. "And it's an honor to be yours, {F/N}. Now let's get some coffee, you look like you're freezing..."
