Chapter 2- Do no harm but take no shit
"This is so boring!" London moans, the bright light from the dj's stage shines on her sparkly shirt and fluorescent earrings.
"Kinda, but look for the positives." I give her a reassuring smile and head to the other side of the cafeteria.
"Hey wait up!" London follows behind me. "What song should I recommend?"
"I don't know, something relevant please" I reach into londons bag as she squirms to write down a song, I pull out a pop can and click it open.
"How about a older song?" London quizzes as she pulls me up to the recommending table.
"Whatever" I roll my eyes, and peek over her shoulder. She writes quickly and pulls me away before I get a chance to see it.
"Now we wait" she grins evilly and rubs her hands together. "Here it comes"
"You recommended Not an apology ?!" I grab her by the shoulders and shake her back and forth. "BY BEA MILLER?!"
"Yeah" London sticks out her tongue and claps her hands.
"I love this song!!!!!" I jump up and down and start giggling. "And you said it'd be a old song"
"Anything for you bestie" London grins from ear to ear and pulls me onto the dance floor.
I look over and see Jackson straighten as the song comes on. I wonder why? He turns and flips his black hair slightly. His hazel orbs engulf my dull brown eyes. I swallow hard and take a step back.
London grabs my hand and spins me around, obviously saving me from the awkward encounter with Jackson. We start dancing and swirling our hips even though we're having a laughing fit.
As he comes closer to me, my breath quickens and my heart speeds up. He places his hand on my side and his other on my shoulder. Electricity moves through his hands, through his touch, his eyes.
He pulls me Further into the crowd and away from London. I smile, but I know it won't last. My luck this is probably a joke.
Jackson starts laughing and lets go. I look at him. My mouth agape and my eyes wide.
"Did you really think he'd dance with you?" Brianna comes up behind me and gives out her normal horrendous laugh.
Jackson grabs Brianna. He moves his hands across her skin and start moving to the beat of the music. I knew this was a joke.
Most of the eyes already on me, I step towards Jackson. He stiffens and looks at me. "What do you want?"
"You will not ruin this song for me you inconsiderate......." I look for more words but nothing comes to mind.
London rushes over to me and pulls me away before I have a chance to say anything else. "I saw what happened" she tries to give me a reassuring smile but it doesn't work, so instead she hugs me.
"I'll recommend a even better song, and this time we can lock Brianna in the restroom." London laughs evilly.
"Please don't do that" I plead. "She's already on my back."
"Fine fine" she agrees but there's still an evil glint in her eye.
---------------
"I'm not that upset." I lie through my teeth, of course I'm upset.
"Okay, I just want to make sure you're alright" London interlocks her arm with mine as we walk out of the dance. "Speak of the devil"
Jackson stands there with Brianna, His grip tight on her side. He grins upon seeing me and London. I swear this boy is bipolar.
"Hey" Jackson grins a side smirk and his gaze moves towards me.
London presses her lips in a thin line not saying anything. "Oh you look nice Brianna" I comment on her short v-neck and skin tight leggings that grab what she doesn't have.
"Oh thank you" she smirks and looks me up and down. Judging every little pattern of my clothes. From my sneakers to my jacket. "I'd say the same for you but." She pulls a snide smile and gives her disgusting laugh..
I look down at my patterned leggings and black t-shirt. Not saying anything, I smile up at her.
London jerks me away. "That was some sexual tension between you and Brianna" London grins and giggles erupt from her stomach as she leans over.
I give a disgusted look, but I can't do anything but laugh. London looks behind us and turns back to me. She stares at me with an evil smile.
"What?" I ask "I know I look like an idiot, don't point it out."
"It's not that" she grins. "He's staring" she whispers as she turns around and puts a L up to her forehead.
"Hey, be nice." I push my finger to her cheek. "Let's go"
"Fine fine" she agrees
"Where are my keys?" I ask her as she shoves her hands in her pockets.
"Oh, here." London says as she grins and tosses them to me. "You gonna wear your helmet?"
"Of course" I smile and slide my matching helmet on. I strap the buckle under my neck and step over the bike.
"Ready?" I ask her as she grabs my sides and I grab the handle bars.
"Kinda" she hesitates a little and nods her head.
London grins and sticks her hand out to wave them off.
"I'm so glad you're my Bestfriend"
