Chapter 4: The Soma Secret

~1 Year Earlier~
~In Italy~

"Yuki! Come here!" The maid said chasing after him. There was a smash and an exploration on floor above and he wanted to know what it was. He went to find out.

"Yuki! You can't go up there! Please stop!" The maids called after him trying to get him. They were not to let him go on the next floor.

"But what was that?! It sounded like an exploration. Is everyone okay? What if Nii-San is hurt?" He didn't want his brother to be hurt. His brother had been getting hurt a lot lately. His parents just shook it off like it was fine. Like it was normal. His brother always came home looking like he had was in a fight with fugitives. He was always severely hurt. Yuki didn't like it.

He made it on the next floor. He opened the door and saw his brother, dad, and some other guys Yuki saw with his dad sometimes. They all had weapons. They went at each other like their lives depended on it. Yuki was so confused and then his brother and dad started first fighting and the others against each other. He didn't know why but what did know was that his brother was really hurt and his dad was making it worse. He was scared.

"AYA-NII!!!!!!!" The shriek went through the whole room. Yuki had tears in his eyes and he looked so hurt.

Everyone's eyes jolted straight to the door. They went to him but then bright red lights and loud sirens went off. Yuki was even more scared and confused. Instead of going to him, everyone ran passed him. He ran after them. They went outside and a group of scary looking guys were there with guns, knives, grenades, etc. Yuki came out to this.

Then he was lifted up and carried away. When he noticed who it was. He got even more scared. He was being carried away by one of the scary guys.

"AYYYYAAAAA-NNNIIIIIII!!!!!!!" He shrieked hoping his brother would help him. When he saw his brother, he saw his brother's expression change to a fierce expression. His dad was there too. A lot of the guys he regularly saw with his dad was there and so was some he never saw before.

Then gun shots rang. Bombs went off. He saw his brother fighting the scary guys. He was epic. He was knocking them out one by one. Yuki never saw his brother fight, let alone this good. This took him by surprise.

He heard one of the scary guys say, "the Soma family is weak! Just give up already! You are not needed in the mafia!" Then more guns and explosives went off so he couldn't hear what he was saying anymore. But he did hear his brother say, " The Soma family will NOT give up!! Take then out!"

Eventually his brother took out the guys holding him and carried him back to the house. He told him to go inside and stay there then went back to the fight. Yuki couldn't listen to his brother. He couldn't move. He was a statue.

Eventually the battle ended and his brother saw Yuki still outside. He saw Yuki's expression. He could tell he was surprised. He was scared. He understood why he didn't go in. He went over to him. So did his dad. They both said in unison, "We'll explain. Follow us".

Yuki had no choice but to follow them. What was happening? What were they going to tell me? We're they going to yell at me for going upstairs or coming outside or maybe staying outside? I'm so scared! Yuki said to himself in his head.

~In The Kitchen~

The maids got them drinks. Yuki drank his so he could talk.

"N-N-nii-S-San?" He started but didn't know what to say.

"Yu-Chan. Are you okay?" He said worried about his little brother.

"Y-yeah." He said shaking.

"Yu-Chan. I know you're scared and confused but listen to us okay. There are things you don't know" his brother said not trying to tell him everything at one time.

Yuki tried to calm down some. He drank some more drink and took deep breaths. He was a little more calm.

"Yuki. Do you know how Ayame is always hurt? He's been training. He's been doing better and better every time. That's what you saw in the room upstairs. We were training" his dad said trying to start small.

"Training for what?" Yuki said.

"The mafia" Ayame said flatly.

"Mafia? Like the people in some mangas I read?"

"The Soma family is not just a normal every day family. We are a family part of the mafia. Kinda like your manga but in reality" his dad said. And Yuki's eyes got big in surprise.

"We aren't too strong but for some reason other mafia have been attacking us. That's what was happening outside just now." Aya said trying to explain what just happened. Yuki's expression became worried.

"Will we be okay?"

"Yes. We will be fine. Your brother will be the next boss. He will inherit the family business. He's been doing really good. I have high expectations for him. You have nothing to worry about Yuki" his dad said. Yuki's expression softened some.

"Yu-Chan, you should get some rest. Think things over some okay" and he went off to get ready for bed.

~A month later~

Things have been calm. Yuki knew everything about the mafia. One day he thought about asking his brother if he could help with he mafia. His brother wasn't in his room so he headed to the meeting room. The door was cracked open and he heard and his dad talking. He heard his name and he stopped in his tracks.

"Aya. I don't like that Yuki knows. Things have been fine and are looking up but I didn't want him to know. What if he wants to join?"

"Why not? I think he'll be good. He's smart and good at sports."

"Well have you seen him fight? He tried out for the boxing team. He froze. And then he tried out for wrestling. He got beat. He's not cut out for this business"

"Yeah I remember that. I guess you're right. It would've been best for him not to know" Aya said and Yuki had tears coming from his eyes. The door opened more and reviled him. The two looked at him and their faces fell.

"Yu-Chan..."

"Y-you think I'm weak? I thought you believed in me but you didn't even want to tell me about this. Aya-nii keeps on fighting and getting hurt but I can't help him?" He said with tears running down his face.

"Yu-Chan" and Yuki ran to his room. He decided to look for a mafia that is stronger and would accept him. Then he came across one. It looked cool. He saw were the 10th boss lived at and decided he wanted to go abroad and meet him.

A few days later his dad asked him if he wanted to go abroad for little bit. He could choose where ever he wanted to go. He told him that he wanted to go to Namimori, Japan. It was set. He was going to Namimori high school the next year.

~Present~

~The Night He Woke Up From The Memory~

~At Yuki's House~

Yuki is searching the mafia family he wanted to join in the middle of the night. He found out that he goes to Nami High too. They were in the same grade. But hats all he could get before his laptop crashed. The firewall was too good. But he knew enough. He was going to find him.
