They never thought that little Luddy, as they called him, ever heard their angry arguments. Nor did they think that it effected him on how he grew mentally.
Ludwigs parents... Had their fallouts to say the least, usually over stupid things that Ludwig's young mind never quite grasped. However, on one occasion, as the young blond boy hopped down their creaking wooden stairs for a hearty dinner of porridge, his parents argued and him and his elder albino brother, Gilbert.
Once again, Ludwig didn't understand the point of their arguing, so turned his back to it. His brother though, was not to oblivious.
As they said something about Ludwig, the young teen marched over and started screaming in his father's face, which shocked Ludwig completely. Why was his big brother arguing now? He had never heard him shout... Unless such a shout had been made through glee. At this time, Ludwigs father was carving some fine looking meat for he and his wife, so as Gilbert started yelling, he actually pointed the tip of the carving knife at his brother.
Ludwig was frozen in shock, watching as Gilbert just scoffed, causing their father to boil with white rage. In the corner of his eye, Ludwig saw beer bottles on the kitchen side. Empty beer bottles. Also, he saw what he knew to be drugs on another side... Panic filled him and suddenly, as he looked back to the quarrel between his father and brother, he screamed as his father threw himself at Gilbert, thrusting the knife in front of him.Ludwig woke up.
He woke up in a cold sweat, his chest heavily as he gripped onto the sheets of his bed, tears rolling down his rosy red cheeks. He threw himself up.Onto a sitting position and glared around his dark, musty room in terror. He was older now. Sixteen, or so he was led to believe. The incident had been nine years ago now.
Anyway, trying to hurriedly clear his tears, the German slowly and shakily stood up, limping over to the corner of his room to pull out some school clothes for highschool.
Once he was dressed, and his backpack was all packed, he gazed out of his window, looking over the unkept garden, old shed, and three mounds of dirt, and just gazed at the sunrise.
