A Bit Broken (Japan Day 3)

Oh, it's starting to hurt again...

Well, today seemed fine until the game. I mean we woke up, got ready for the game, waited in the freezing cold morning for a school bus to take us to the Yokota school, and waited inside the gym until our game started. Then, during the game, I did a smart thing and decided to break my pinkie. Yup.

So now I have a splint on, making sure it doesn't mave around or anything. The worst part about the whole thing was probably going around trying to find a hospital to take care of me. First, we went to a hospital on base, but they wouldn't take me because I'm a civilian. So we had to go to another hospital that was outside base, where apparently NO ONE knows English. This place also apparently had business hours, because they were closed. Makes no sense to me, but ok.

Next place we went to  was a pediatrics ward, where I waited at least two hours before my name was called. After watching a whole bunch of stupid Japanese commercials that made absolutely no sense, even if it were in English,  they took an X-Ray of my hand and found out it was not only dislocated, but also broken. So, after the doctor over there had taken the feeling completely out of my hand and relocated my finger, they took another X-Ray of my hand and found out that it was BROKEN. So now I have to be ambidextrous.

Anyway, since I can't playbasketball anymore (or at least for the next three weeks), I'll be stuck of taking pitures instead.

Until next time,

Elly <3
