Toriel set her signature pie onto the table. All the monsters were in the Dreemur living room, including Asgore. Toriel stiffened at his name, but Sans insisted on inviting him.
She smoothed her dress and peeked into the living room. The sight made her heart melt, because everyone was bonding. It was...what do the kids say...goals?
Sans was entertaining the guests with funny stories, and she saw. Alphys was shoving as much food in her mouth as possible, and Undyne was telling some of the kids stories about being a hero. Papyrus was yelling at his brother about his lame jokes.
Frisk, Asriel, Chara, and Monster Kid were by the tree, and when they thought no one was looking, they shook their presents wondering what was inside. Even Chara did so. Monster Kid had no arms, so he kicked the presents lightly.
"Children, don't do that." White paws picked Asriel up and held him in their arms. Asgore.
Toriel walked in. She smiled at the children. "Why don't you guys get more food? The pie is ready." She said kindly. The kids forgot all about their presents and rushed to the kitchen.
"Tori." Asgore began, but Toriel waved him off.
"It's Christmas. A drama-free holiday." Toriel said with crossed arms. "I don't want to talk about it." She huffed and walked away to Alphys.
"Alphys, are you enjoying the spaghetti?" Toriel asked, hoping to strike up a conversation.
"Surprisingly, yes." She wiped some sauce from her face. "This year, it isn't frozen, burnt, or undercooked." She slurped more. "Someone must have helped Papy."
Toriel chuckled. "Well there's pie... nevermind. There's no pie. The children ate it all." She looked over at the four children, who grabbed the whole pie and started to divide it into fourths. The two laughed.
"Okay! Present time!" Sans yelled to the kids. They ran over to the gigantic castle of presents, and Sans grabbed the pie. The adults crowded the tree as well, almost amused.
Toriel gave a warm smile to her friends. It was a perfect Christmas.
"Everyone grab two presents!" She said, and everyone dug in. "Don't open them yet!" She added. She walked over and grabbed two small boxes. One had a sparkly green wrapping with a neat white ribbon, and the other was blue with reindeer. It was so cute and petite.
On the other hand, the children went for the biggest packages. Toriel wrapped her two gifts in large boxes, so the children would buy the bait. Everyone sat in a neat circle, and Toriel looked around. She smiled as Undyne pulled Alphys into her lap. Sans sat next to her with two medium sized gifts, in which he looked excited. One of the gifts was Toriel's, wrapped in a pretty santa claus wrapping paper. The other was hastily crumpled in green tissue. It looked like Papyrus'.
They all had to open the presents and guess who got each other's. It was the cutest idea...
Alphys started to tear at hers first. She lifted two manga books out and smiled.
"It was Undyne!" she said, blushing. She turned to her girlfriend. "How did you know I would pick it?"
"It was easy. I just picked the wrapping that was really shiny." Undyne said. She looked away, trying to look cool but Alphys grabbed her and kissed her on the cheek. "Get a room!" Mettaton said.
Alphys opened her second present, a stuffed bear with a heart on its chest.
"Hmm..." Alphys was puzzled. "Either Frisk or Asriel."
Both shook their heads.
"Chara?" Chara nodded. They were smiling genuinely and that warmed Toriel's heart.
The rest of the night went on, Toriel smiling as everyone opened their presents. She watched as Sans opened her present: a soft hand knit blanket and a mason jar of spaghetti. Totally Papyrus.
Toriel tore at the first one. It was a gift card for Teavana. She scowled.
"Asgore?" He nodded.
It's Christmas, she thought, I shouldn't act that way.
Toriel gave a small smile. "Thank you."
She opened the other, which was a gold necklace with a purple opaque gem in the middle. She blushed.
"Sans?" He nodded.
"AWHHH!!!!!!" Alphys squealed, and she took a picture of them with her phone. Sans hugged Toriel, and everyone was saying "ooh" and "ahh" and "awh".
Toriel looked at Asgore, who looked at the floor. She felt...bad. But she was already happily married, and Asgore was out.
The party continued, with the children in the living room and the adults watching a movie. While they were watching, Toriel put mistletoe on the doorway, to make things interesting.Asriel, Chara, Frisk, and Monster Kid had their presents on. Asriel had the sweatshirt from Sans on and was coloring with the markers from Alphys. Chara was wearing the MTT shirt from your favorite robot and was eating the spaghetti from Papyrus. Frisk had Toriel's blanket around them and sipped golden flower tea from Asgore. Monster kid was cuddling Undyne's giant teddy bear and had Alphys' gift card in his backpack.
"I'm bored." Chara said. Their eyes lit up. "Truth or Dare?" Everyone agreed and went in a circle.
"But what if we deny one?" Monster Kid asked.
"Hmmm..." Frisk started. "We go outside for thirty seconds."
Everyone agreed, since it was snowing.
"ALRIGHT." Chara yelled, causing them to jump. "Let's get started."
"Frisk." Chara began. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare." They said nervously.
"Take Sans' ketchup and squirt some into his hood."
Oh no, Frisk thought. But they didn't want to be the first to chicken out.
The kids followed them around. They swung the fridge open and grabbed the ketchup. They walked over to Sans, who was talking to Alphys.
"-he said, ''its snow problem." Sans was saying. Alphys burst out laughing. "That was terrible!" She said.
Frisk snuck up behind him, ketchup in hand. Alphys saw them, but they quickly put a finger to their mouth. Alphys started stalling, saying that he can't think of another pun for a dollar.
Frisk flipped the cap off and started squirting. The ketchup bottle made a squirting noise.
"Oh my god." Frisk said quietly, and they dove off the couch. They slid the ketchup bottle across the floor, hiding the evidence.
"Kid, what are you doing?" Sans asked.
"Nothing!" Frisk said as they ran away."Shut up." Frisk said as they walked in. They looked around for a victim. "Monster Kid." They said. "You know the question"
"Truth." He said. "Buzzkill." Chara muttered.
"Who would you rather date: Undyne or Toriel?"
"Obviously Undyne." He said. "Asriel."
"Dare." He said.
"Ask Asgore where babies come from." Monster Kid said. Asriel gulped.
"O-okay." He said. He slowly got up and walked toward his dad. Everyone was snickering.
"D-dad?" He stuttered. Asgore turned to him smiling. "Where do babies come from?"
Asgore blushed and started sweating. Asriel ran away, yelling. Everyone was laughing.
Asriel smirked evilly. "Chara."
"Dare."
"Tell Alphys that you love Mew Mew Kissy Cutie 2." He said with confidence.
"Hell no." Chara said as they slid open the back door. "I'm not doing that again."
Their legs shook as they tried to keep warm by rubbing their hands up and down their arms. Their teeth chattered as everyone laughed behind the glass door.
"Come in now!" Monster Kid mouthed. Chara practically sprinted over.
The night continued like this, but Frisk chickened out most of the time. They weren't about to ask Undyne out, drag the Christmas tree into the kitchen, steal Papyrus' sweater, or put snow in Mettaton's boots. Not happening.
Around four am, the guests started to leave, along with Monster Kid. The children fell asleep right in the living room.
Frisk looked up at the ceiling. Another Christmas has gone by.Thanks for reading! I know this is a few days late but whatever. I was busy and all lol
