The blizzard envelops me
In its frigid embrace,
Blocking my panel
From the white sun's face.

An arduous journey
Awaits me and my brothers;
Whilst the snow piles,
Hardens and smothers.

In my last reflections
I recollect those days
When the yellow sun blessed us,
With Manna from its gaze

As I descend into hibernation
And pray I wake at the Melt,
I reminisce how excited She was
Whilst we sat on the Meijer belt.

She took us home with Her
With one duty in mind:
To illuminate the walkway
For visitors of any kind.

When humans reach home safely
Our circuits buzz with pride;
That She may silently thank us
For lighting their every stride.

Thus as the last, lone lamp
At this home I bid adieu
Hopeful that future masters
Do wipe that snow from our view.
