Chapter One

Rayna's  POV

"Dad! I know what I'm saying!"

"You know what? Argh. Stop complaining Rayna! What I said is what you'll do!"

Wondering what are we talking about? Ha.

My dad wants me to go and study in States. And I am definitely disagreeing with it.

"What's your problem with that?"

"As if you really don't know!"

"Just tell me." Dad said with full of authority.

"Are you that numb dad? You want me to repeat that situation of us all the time? Do you love it? Are you enjoying it? Well sorry dad. The feeling is not mutual." I said as I exited his office. I hate having arguments especially with my parents.

Wonder what's the problem?

My mother. She's here in Philippines and my merciless dad wanted me to go States just for my mother to be alone. Is he that crazy? If you're going to let me choose between my dad and mom, it'll surely be my mom I'll choose. Unfortunately, yes. I have a broken family.

I'll stay here in Philippines no matter what. I won't just leave mom here alone just to make my dad happy. His happiness is the sadness of me and my mom.

I think he already have his own family in States. And maybe he wants to introduce me to them. No no no. A big no no.

I might just kill his family. Haha.

I am Rayna Serephina Peterson. I'm a daddy's girl once but now, I am that girl who will sacrifice everything, even the good education at States. Just to be with my mom.

I am now leading my way home.

"Raynaaaaa!" Oh, my silly partner.

"Why?" I asked her as she approached me.

"Nothing." And she put her arm around mine. I smiled at her jolliness.

"What's with the frown?" She's really my friend. I already smiled at her but still she recognized my face a while ago.

I sighed. "My dad. He's desperate to bring me in States and make me study there. I don't know if he only wants mom to be alone or what."

"Seriously? It's already our first class tomorrow and yet Tito is trying?"

"Yeah."

"Oh my gosh. By the way, what section are you?"

"The same as you, maybe?"

"How did you know?"

"I really don't know." And we both laughed. I don't know what's funny with it but still we laughed.

"Goodbye~ See you tomorrow!" She said and waved at me. So I did.

"You too! Muah!" I don't think that's cheesy.

"Mommy!" I approached mom and gave her a warm hug.

"Where'd you go?" She said.

"Ah, just toured outside. With my partner in crime, Priya."

"Oh, your best friend?" We don't call each others best friend but we're like that.

"Yes mom."

"Hmm. You sure you just toured? I think nope." Mom really knows me.

"To be honest, no. Just talked with daddy 'bout some silly things." If you only know mommy.

"Okay. Better get ready Rayna. Your things are ready. You just need to wake up early for tomorrow."

I sadly sighed. "Why? Aren't you excited?" Mom playfully asked.

"Who would be excited for waking up early?"

"You, of course!" She said chuckling.

"Mommy!" I pouted and she hardly pinched my cheek.

"I love you Rayna." And she kissed my forehead.

"Love you Mommy." I kissed her and lead my way to my room.

Mommy is helping me to ignore my dad's plan. She's giving me the strength. What silly things might happen tomorrow? I'm seriously not excited.
