One more word
"Lah....lay.....lie....can...throp...." Gray eyes squinted against yellow worded paper. The word he was trying to pronounce rolled over in his head a few times but he couldn't get the word out. "Lah.....can....throp....ey...."
"The word your looking for is Lycanthropy Fenris." The elf jumped so much he dropped the book he was trying to read.
"Do you really need to sneak up on me like that Hawke?"
"I thought you might like a little exercise. Apparently the bone pit is full of dragonlings again."
"With all that money Hubert has don't you think he can hire some guards?"
"well, he hires us from time to time. Were the killer cleanout squad." Fenris had to chuckle as Hawke gave a heroic pose.
"I guess so. That single word is confusing the hell out of me." Hawke stooped over to grab the book that was previously in lyrium-tainted hands.
"The study on Lycanthropy?" Hawke shot Fenris a confused look. "where did you get this? I don't remember having this on my shelf."
"I found it on the wounded coast after that werewolf incident."
"That was 3 years ago. Where have you kept this? I don't remember seeing it."
"I kept it under my pillow because it was too soft. But I forgot about it last night and hit my head against it."
"Fair enough." Hawke put the book down on his desk them pulled him up from his chair. "Lets go. Anders and Isabella are waiting outside." The elf groaned loudly as Hawke dragged him from his mansion by his wrist.
"Why did you have to bring the mage along? We could manage without him."
"Come on Fenris. He has saved me and Isabella on many occasions. But, you refuse to be healed. don't understand why." he snached his hand back and showed Hawke his palm then pointed to the blue lines that were burned into his skin.
"This is why I hate Magic." he snarled before storming towards the door. As soon as they took one step outside Isabella instantly ran up to them and shoved Fenris out of the way so she could engulf Hawke in a hug.
"Yuki! Why couldn't I come in with you?" Fenris glared at Isabella then lent against the wall quite far away from Anders.
"The Maker would call two girls making out a sin but I think we just found heaven" Anders grinned, watching Hawke and Isabella converse and occasionally kiss.
"I hardly call that 'making out'. I think Hawke hasn't seen any one of those kisses coming though."
"That my friend is making all the more amusing to watch."
"I am not your friend."
"Okay, whoa." Anders held up his hands in defence and back away from the snarling elf.
"Okay! Lets go to the bone pit!" Hawke yelled suddenly with a fist in the air, then started marching towards the stairs. Her top lip was a bright shade of pink as were her cheeks. Isabella was following her closely with a malicious grin on her face.
"Maker only knows what they were talking about." Anders groaned before trudging along behind them. Fenris growled at the prospect of travelling with a squad like this but he followed on anyway, knowing that he was bored of trying to figure out a word. He mulled it over in his head another time before shaking the thought out and following his travelling companions.
"Hawke, hey Hawke." Fenris grabbed her collar and stopped her just outside the bone pit entrance. "you need to stop daydreaming."
"I was going to say something really sarky but I forgot what it was." Hawke pouted and polded her arms while Fenris still had hold of her collar. As soon as he let go she fell over backwards into the dust.
