Dark brown meets cold blue.
It feels as time has slowed down. Every second feels like a minute. The atmosphere thickens as they studied at each other's appearance, a little confused. Both of them are staring at each other, waiting for the other to act first.
Michael makes the first move.
He moves towards Jason and swings his knife. Michael moves damn fast. So fast that Jason nearly miss seeing it. Jason was taken aback but manages to dodge the attack. He stumbles backwards and stops himself from falling down. Michael continues to swing his knife, not giving a chance to Jason. Seeing the blade move close, Jason dodge the attack once again, just barely. Out of the corner of his eye, he then sees his opponent's left free hand clutching and aimed at him. Jason tries to dodge the attack, but he fails as he is too slow. The punch lands straight to his gut, sending a burst of throbbing pain on his stomach. The pain was temporary. His blood begins to boil. Now he is angry.
-
Michael feels as he had punched a metal covered flesh. He looks at his now bleeding knuckles, though it does not hurt. Who is he and why is he so strong? He thought to himself. Being distracted with thoughts, he did not notice the swing of a blade from Jason. The machete swung by Jason lands on Michael's left shoulder, blood pours out. Michael's blood stained the machete, still stuck on his shoulder. Jason pulls out his machete violently making Michael jerks backwards and slams against a tree. Michael feels numb.
-
There, just one more stab to finish him off. A stab right between his eyes. Then this will all be over. Jason thinks to himself.
Although he putted up a good fight, he is still just another worthless human and will surely die like the rest of them. He is not even scared of me. It is a shame he had to die so fast. I have to follow my mother's wishes. Jason thought to himself as he approach the now bleeding Michael, wanting to end him. Little did Jason knew, Michael is not human at all.
-
Jason stands right in front of Michael and looks him in the eyes. Jason grips his machete tightly and lifts it up with his hand, ready to strike. Michael glares at Jason, making him shiver a little. Jason swings his machete but Michael blocks Jason's attack with his left hand.
How- Jason thought was cut off after feeling a knife penetrate his skin. He did not even notice that Michael was swinging his knife until the last second. Michael was very quick.
The knife penetrates Jason's neck. Blood spills out of his neck like a leaking pipe. Jason falls to his knees. Michael takes a step back, watching Jason bleed as he fell to the ground, thinking that he was done, and killed Jason for good. But he is wrong. Jason was not normal too.
"Jason! Stand up!" He hears his mother roars.
"You can never die, Jason." Said mother.
"Kill him for Mommy." She orders.
Jason's blood start to boil. He feels as the inner power is being drawn out. He feels stronger. His heart beats faster, and adrenaline kicks in. He has entered rage mode and is ready to kill. He stands up and pulls Michael knife's out of his neck and throw it to the ground so hard that it left a small crater. A killer aura radiates from Jason. Michael is in trouble.
-
Michael tilts his head in confusion. He should have died, but he didn't. Instead he is much more powerful. He's no human. Michael thought. The flesh wound from his left shoulder still oozed blood. This fight will go on forever, as we are both immortal. Michael starts to think of a plan.
-
Jason, now in rage mode starts to swing his machete violently and missing. Michael dodges every attack as he was faster. Michael runs towards his knife and picks it up in order to arm himself. Punching or crushing Jason's head would not work. Then again, using the knife would not work either. He has to think of something else. And fast.
Jason made a low growl. He was starting to get annoyed. He lifts up his machete and throws it at Michael. Michael barely dodge it, seeing the attack meant for his head pass in a swift of a blade. That was close. He looked at the machete, now stuck on a trunk of a tree. Then, he turns around to see Jason sprinting towards him. He tries to move away, but it was too late.
Jason tackled Michael, pinning him to the ground. He started throwing punches at Michael's face. Every punch feels like he had been hit by a car. Michael absorbed the trauma, swallowing the pain and kicks Jason in the gut, trying to get away. Feeling the throbbing pain in his stomach, Jason stops his attack, and Michael took the advantage, punching Jason on his face. The punch was so strong that Jason's mask flew to the ground, revealing his face.
Michael was about to punch Jason again but he stops as he notice a familiar look on Jason's face. He feels as if he met him before.
-
Jason, still confused as to why Michael stopped attacking stands up. Why did he stop? He looks at Michael and realizes that he was staring at his face. Ah. He's shocked to see my ugly face, huh? Just like the others. Jason, expecting a disgusted look or an insult got something else instead.
Michael reaches into his pocket and pulls out a crumpled paper and a marker. Then he started to write something on the paper. After he had done writing, he folded the paper and gives it to Jason. Jason, still confused, took the note and unfolds it.
Hello Jay. Remember me?
Jason was clueless. He reads the words over and over again, trying to make sense. Why did he call me Jay? Who the hell is he? Then he looked at Michael straight in the eyes and tilted his head in confusion.
Michael pulls off his mask, revealing his face. At that moment, Jason finally realize that only one person in this world who had ever called him that. No, it was not his mom. It was Michael, his old friend. He looked at Michael's face and his eyes became watery.
My old friend.
