Shadows in the trees

Part 1: woods

I don't know what it was....

Or why it happened...

The mere thought of what happened still terrifies me.....

You see, I don't care whether you believe me or not .... I just want to let you know that these following events did indeed happen ...

Okay , so this all happened about a year ago, I live in a small house with my mum , there are some surrounding woods in the area and a small path down to the other houses and shops , my dad lives in a separate house a couple miles away because of my mum and dad had gotten divorced.

Anyway,  this all started one afternoon when my friends  Lisa , Sophie , Anushai and Katie come knocking on my door , asking to hangout, I suggested going into the woods to explore , they all agreed , and so we walked into the vast forest with its trees, looming above us , twisted branches and nature surrounding us , it was great we were having a good time ,until I......saw a figure off in the distance about my size , so I started to walk towards it.... thinking that it was one of my friends, when it disappeared.....
vanished into thin air , I brushed it off as it being a tree or a rock as I'm a general sceptic of the supernatural and told my friends that it was getting late and that I had to head home , they all agreed that it was getting late and we said goodbye and started to walk off in different directions to our houses.

I was getting ready for bed , and was watching my favourite movie series: pirates of the Caribbean, when I heard the familiar shout from my mum to turn off the t.v and  go to bed , I obliged and turned of the t.v and began to fall asleep, as I did I looked out of the huge window to the forest and began to fall into a deep sleep.... I woke up about an hour later to the strange feeling of being watched.... I bolted upright in my bed looking around for whoever or ... wharever  was watching me.... nothing was there, just as I had expected.... then as I was about to fall back asleep I looked more clearly out of my window.... What I saw terrified me...
It was a dark silhouette of a person about as tall as I was... Standing in the tree line , I immediately Called for my mum , who was there only a second later.....
"What do you mean.... There is no silhouette out there honey" is all she said, I desperately tried to explain to her what had happened but of course she didn't believe me
As the dark figure had gone.... She told me that it was just a nightmare and to try and get back to sleep , I told her I would and she left...
Of course I didn't sleep ....
I stayed awake the rest of the nigh...
You couldn't expect me to happily fall back off to sleep with what had just happened.
