Part 2: false echos

I don't know how I had gotten to sleep.....
I woke up the next morning
Got dressed and went downstairs to eat my breakfast, my mum had gone out to work early, so like usual I was alone at home on my summer holidays away from school, my mum still had to go to work though , she worked in a shop in the town...

I had just finished my breakfast when I heard a knock at the door, I went to answer it , it was Lisa , Sophie and Katie
"Anushai is on her way" said Katie
"So do you want to go back into the woods today" said Lisa
"Umm well .... No n-not really"I said
"Oh okay that's fine, we can go down to the shops instead" joyfully said Sophie.

About three hours later I was back at my house, mum wasn't there as usual, still at work....
I made myself a sandwich and sat down in the living room , our house was set out so that the front door was leading into the kitchen and there was a long corridor, leading to the living room and either side of the corridor were the bedrooms, mine was on the left and my mums was on the right.

So as I was walking Down the corridor to the living room, I heard a the door open into the kitchen and footsteps echo into the kitchen, I heard the tap turn on then off and then my mum calling out to me to say "hello and how was your day", "that's weird, why is she home so early" I thought, I brushed it off and I turned around to walk towards the kitchen where I expected to see my mum.........
Only.... No. One. Was. There...
I called out thinking that she had gone back outside to no reply, I ran outside into the front garden to find  no one....
I was freaking out...
What in the hell had called me...
And why did it sound like my mum...

A few hours later my mum came back from work , I went up to her and told her what had happened, she of course did not believe me and told me with a reassuring smile that I had just been hearing things....
I know that I was not just hearing things......
An hour later I got into bed and turned on the t.v to finish the first pirates of the Caribbean movie, when I had finished I reluctantly went to bed, fearing what would happen...

About an hour later I was woken up to a loud tapping noise....
Tap....tap...tap...
I looked directly out my window and held in a scream....
The memories from last night came flooding back into my mind
As I saw the figure.... Standing outside my window, only this time it was closer and tapping on my window....

Immediately fumbled for my light switch....
Turning it on and trying not to scream..... I was frozen with fear, thank god when I looked back, the figure was gone....
Again I tried to stay up all night..
I fell asleep about an hour after it had happened
Probably from fear
Or from being tired....
