Chapter 2 Mae's point of view

"Bye Mae. Mom should be home soon.If you need any-" I cut in because mom and Anna have told me this a million times before and I DIDN'T WANT to hear it again.

"I know ,I know , just go on and have fun on your date or ... whatever you want to call it."I mumbled to myself.

I walk inside my house , turned on the TV and grabbed my tablet. The only reason the TV was on was because it made it so that there wasn't died silence throughout the whole house.

I looked on Twitter to see if anyone had put anything new and about me.

"Nothing!"I yelled aloud. " Really, it's been like two whole hours and nothing new! Well this is disappointing"Still talking to myself in the big empty house.

"Hey, is anyone home? Anna? Mae? Anyone? " I heard my mother from the front door walking into the living room where I was still sitting on the couch.

"Mom, I'm on the couch." I said softly

" Ooh there is one of my girls ,now where is the other one?"

"She went out with Niall" I told her in a funny yet cooling voice.

"You know just as well as me that that boy loves her. He isn't giving up with out a fight to win her heart." My mom said in a sly voice.

"I think I'm going to go to bed, I'm really tried of being bored all day."

"But Honey, it's only four, what about dinner? Are you eating, I'm making chicken and white rice." She said with a long "hhmmmmm" at the end.

"If I'm still sleeping by six come and wake me up." I told my mother why'll rubbing my temples slowly."night "

"Night, love ya"I had heard my mom say quickly in response.

I woke up, looked over to my alarm sitting on my table next to my bed. It was only five minutes before six. "Yes, woke up just in time for dinner"

I rushed down stairs to the smell of chicken and white rice coming over from the kitchen area. When I opened the kitchen door the smells just flue into my nose. My mom turned around before I could even say anything, which scared me so bad that I started to giggle.

"Hey, you got up just in time for dinner. You want to grab some plates and forks so we can did in."My mother said so excitedly ,with a smile across her face .I couldn't help but smile also.

We ate dinner and watched a movie then I was just about to go to bed when I heard the front door open."I'm home!" Anna sent the words throughout the house. She was standing over bye the door taking off her coat and shoes. I got up from the couch and ran over to Anna. 

"Sooooo...."I was holding out on the "o".

"So what?" Anna looked at me with confused look, prying her shoes off and throwing them on the ground.

"So did Niall Kiss you? Did he finally man up and ask you out?" I asked excited.

"What are you talking about, me and him are just friends!"

"Okay so how did your date go?" asking so excited

"It went as any other time, me and him just hanging out as friends. Nothing more nothing less." Anna started to bit down on her lip. I knew something was up. Anna only bits down on her lip when she is very nervous or either very excited.

"I knew it, you did go on a date with Niall! Ooh so did he kiss you?"now screaming at the top of my lungs.

"Wait! No! I mean! He didn't kiss me. He was almost going to kiss me but then he backed up and hugged me instead. He just told me "See you at school on Monday, Bye." then left.

My mouth was wide open. I didn't say anything. I turned slowly around to see that mother was just in the same state of Ah as I was. I looked at the house phone then, I made a dash for it. Grabbed it to only spin around and sprint for the bathroom because, it was the only room in the house that had a lock on the doorknob. As I was turning around I saw Anna notice what I was doing. She ran over to me right when I was entering the bathroom. I slammed the door right in her face, then quickly lock the doorknob.

"Mae, get out and give me the phone." Anna yelled at me through the door.

"I'm just going to talk to him about what happen tonight with you two. If you don't want to sound like an idiot don't say anything in the background." I responded in a calmly manner.

"Mae, I'm so going to kill you for this!" once again yelling at me through the door.

"I'm putting it on speaker. RING! RING! RING!

"Hello." Niall spoke in a low voice.

"Hey it's Mae."

"Ooh I thought it was your sister calling!"

"No, I'm wonder how your date went with Anna?"

" Um...Why?" He sounded like he was trying to hide something.

"Please, just tell me if you kissed her, please." I whined into the phone.

"Fine, just make sure Anna isn't around to here anything!"

"okay"I bent down to see that Anna's feet were still standing in front of the door.

"I went in for a kiss but...." I cut him off mid-sentence.

"You chickened out ,Niall ooh my gosh! Be a man and kiss her, ask her out, do something romantic with her for once." I was really yelling now.

"I put my arm around her when I was driving. If that's anything?"

"Look tomorrow ask her if she wants to go to the park take me with you and KISS HER YOU FOOL!" I didn't want to be mean the guy needs to man up and do something romantic or just stop trying because he has liked her since they were five.

"Yeah your right, I'll call her cell phone and ask her. Um... can you make sure that she says yes?" he sounded in big need of help so I told him yes.

"Bye"then I hung up before he could even say bye back.

I opened the door to see Anna standing right in front of me with her arms crossed over her chest. She grabbed me by the arm and gave me the tightest hug I ever got.

" Thank you " she said before pushing me away.Her phone was ringing up stairs in her room I followed her up the stair into her room. Anna answered the phone,put Niall on speaker. She was the first one to speak.

"Hey, I had fun on the date." She spoke in her fake, sweet voice.

"Ooh you did that's great. Well here's the thing. Well...um...would you like to...um go to the park or something tomorrow with me?"

"Well I would love to. What time do you want to go at?"once again using her fake voice.

"Anytime you feel like going, I guess ?"

"Sounds good to me. Is anyone else coming?"

" Well, Mae can come with to...if you want her to come with?"His voice sounding soft and shy.

"yeah, bye."

"Bye."

Anna hung up. She looked over in my direction. There was a long pause before Anna said "thanks". Then I walked out of her room and stepped four feet to my door right across the hallway. I turned my lights on then got into a old, random T-shirt and shorts. Flicked the lights back off and jumped into bed. Within a matter of seconds I fell asleep.
