Adrian's POV
"Adrian! Adrian!" Samantha calls for me, I sigh and continue walking down the hallway, trying to pretend like I didn't hear her. Samantha was my annoying little sister, well, not that young. She's only a year younger than me, and I'm 17.
My name is Adrian, I'm a brother of two sisters who are both twins. I'm the only one who doesn't look like them, considering I match my dad with blonde hair and my sisters both have red hair like my mom.
My sister's names are Samantha and Adrianne, but for short, we call them Sam and Adrie. Sam was always the hyper, girly-girl in the family just like my mom and Adrie had always been just like my dad and I- quiet, a little shy and just kinda anxious around large groups.
"Adrian answer me right now!" Sam yelled loudly which made a few heads in the hallway turn to face us, I held my breath. Awkward much? Suddenly I felt two arms wrap tightly around my chest and a heavy weight weighing down on my back, almost making me fall flat on my face. Sam had jumped on me and I was now practically giving her a piggy-back.
"Answer me big brother! The princess demands to be spoken to!" Sam shouted sternly, poking me in the cheek from behind. I sighed, closing my eyes for a moment before reopening them, carefully putting her down on the ground on her feet, she'd make a big deal and start wailing if I dropped her, I didn't want to deal with that.
"What do you want princess?" I asked, trying my best to sound polite. I loved my sister and all, but she was annoying as hell! Lord help me out here, please. Sam smirked and flicked me in the cheek before she brushed her red locks behind her shoulder, pulling it to meet with the rest of her hair on the other side of her head.
I turned around, I was already tired of her and it hadn't even been five whole minutes! Give me a fucking break Sam!
"Finally..." she said with that stupid childish smirk on her face, she rolled her eyes and then the smirk on her face softened to barely noticeable. I was her brother though, I knew it was still there. "So whatcha doing?" She asked, her eyes twinkling like a curious child.
"What!? Is that why you bugged me so much!?" I snapped, raising an eyebrow. Sam only smiled innocently that slowly turned into a light smirk, her eyes dark as she looked at me sinisterly. "Shouldn't you be in class?!" I asked suddenly, making her eyes widen in realization.
"Fuuuuuck. I'll see you later big brother!" She said happily as she leaned forward and planted a gentle kiss on my cheek, my cheeks turning slightly pink from the gesture. She then ran off, waving to me before turning the corner and heading to her class.
I rolled my eyes and ran a hand through my blonde hair as I turned back to the direction I was trying to walk in, I then left to go find my best friend, Erith.
Erith had first arrived at this school two days ago, he looked innocent enough. Bright blue eyes that were full of life, his hair pitch black and he was wearing a light blue shirt with black pants. Erith was just an average boy, he was the quiet type, didn't talk to others barely at all unless it was me, he was shy but smart and a really good friend. He was cute.
~Two Days Ago Flashback~
Erith's POV
"U-Um..." I thought as I tapped my fingers nervously together, I was in the school foyer alone, my mother had left to talk to the principal, probably to finish whatever was left with signing me up for this school. I already didn't like it here, I felt so cold, so alone.
The walls were stained red- blood, or maybe I was imagining it again, hallucinations the doctors called it? I couldn't ever tell the difference, everything was just so confusing I couldn't understand. Mother says that I'm special, other times she says I'm sick, then other times, she calls me mental...
"Hey! Are you new?" I hear a voice ask, I jump slightly, glancing up to see a boy smiling softly at me. I look away, forcing my head to move up and down slightly, that was a nod I think. Or maybe I just embarrassed myself in front of someone I could call a friend. "Oh, nice. Do you want me to show you around?"
Shadows flooded the area, the ceiling dripping with blood that stained the floor, it made puddles, it dripped on me and I had to force myself not to shiver or wipe it off. I can't act like an idiot, I'm just being silly mother says all the time.
"Sure."
And from then on, we were friends. Best friends. Well, I didn't think so... I already loved him, because I was just so stupid and I was such an idiot all the time. I can't believe I fell in love... with my best friend...
~End of Flashback~
"Oh Adrian... There you are...!" I heard a soft voice say to me, I spun around and saw Erith standing there, looking down, fiddling with his hands shyly. I smiled softly and he glanced up at me slightly, a tiny smile resting on his lips.
