friendship and rivalry

The day finally came to an end, i walked up the dreamy stairs to the first two rooms in the hallway, on the left was the door with a beautiful illustration of the moon and its phases, on the right was the mesmerising sun illustration, i first knocked on the left, i called for tsuki-san, he opened the door and i saw a glimpse of his room, the roof seemed like the galaxy itself, i was so entranced that i didn't notice him calling my name "-me yume?" i quickly snapped out of the trance at his hand, i looked to his face, which was frowning, it made me nervous so i ended up looked a little lower "did you want something?" he didn't have to put it so harshly, "i was going to make dinner, would you like some? it will be our first meal together so i want it to be something everyone likes" i fidget in place, i feel like a girl... well i am one, so...  i guess its fine... "i'm going out" he shifted his eyes, once again... harsh... we were supposed to be family... i must have showed my feelings as he then shouted "NEXT TIME!" then quietly added "curry" then closed the door... i'm kinda happy, he must of been embarrassed, i happily walk over to haru's door and knock on the door "haru-san?" he opens the door and i see a stunningly bright room, "yume-chan, what brings you to my room?" he leans, i awkwardly step back, "um, tsuki-san is going out so dinner is just us, what would you like?" he steps back and replies "hmm, oh! hamburger! i really want a hamburger!" i laugh at his excitement and he begins to pout "hamburger it is then, but let me make sure we have the ingredients, after all your parents bought the ingredients this time" to his luck we had the ingredients.

Dinner was finally served, by the time i had finished cooking, i too were craving hamburger, i called for haru, who excitedly came down the stairs, tsuki-san had already left while i was cooking, being a prince and all i did expect them to be gone most days, it was fun watching him apologise, he is actually pretty shy... so fun. i sat down with haru, he talked about his magnificent country, the kingdom of light... i couldn't stop listening. i then asked him why he and tsuki-san were the only ones who were here, "in most of the cases its because of your power supply, although there is an immense amount, it would strain your physical body to suddenly have 10 spirits using it, because your case is the first of its kind the goddess herself came up with the solution, and why it is us two, is because we are more powerful, and come from the  more powerful kingdoms, the other influential countries may have things they need to deal with before their arrival, that is also why yoru-chan is out, yoru-chan's kingdom is having problems, it's why he has to leave, he is going to be having trouble from now on, and yume?" all i could do was answer "yes?" his face grew lighter "please take care of yoru-chan" i couldn't help but smile and nod, although he only jokes with tsuki-san, he really does care about him.

Tsuki-san came home the next morning, i offered him breakfast but it was obvious that all he wanted was to sleep. that morning, haru explained how i buy things, he handed me what looked like cards, they were made entirely of crystal, each were different colours, he explained that each card, each colour, had different uses. The green was for plants and decorations, the blue was for groceries, the red for furniture and so on. it was then that i realised we didn't have all of the groceries for curry and headed towards the shopping district. it was lucky that i was raised not far from my new home, but i still got lost a couple of times. i also looked for things to decorate my new room with, i didn't own much so it made more space to decorate. i found some light fixtures and a table i wanted, but it was not the day to be taking home furniture, i was exhausted.

I finally got back, it was just in time to start dinner, after unpacking the shopping I went and confirmed that they would be home, thankfully they were able to stay tonight. I served dinner, and called for tsuki and haru.

At first it was quiet but later though the night we had a great time and happily ate. this is what a family should be like. later that night as i was cleaning, tsuki-san came up to me and helped with the dishes, it was then that i heard what i hadn't expected, "thank you yumi.." it was as quiet as a mumble "I'm glad you liked it tsuki-san" he then smiled. "are you and haru close?" he looked surprised at my question, "we grew up together..." it seems that was all the answers i would get from him so i left it at that. Even if that was all i was hearing tonight, i felt happy.
