'And anyway he was like "Ms! Your arse is in the way!" And she was so angry, cause we all know that she has the biggest bum on the planet!' Poppy says, not sitting still.

'Hey, bubbles. Funny story and all but I couldn't care less what Ambrose said,'
I say and puff out a cloud of grey smoke
'Ruby, I wish you would stop that. You'll get sick,' Kerrie says, looking up from her book.

'Ker. I couldn't care less,' I smile at her and keep smoking she sighs and mutters something along the lines of 'I tried mum. I tried,'
'Ohhhhk! Let's talk about something happier like... ummm. Oh! School camp!'

'Bubbles. You still call it camp?'
'Uhhh yeah.'
'And you wonder why we're not popular,' I mutter. She looks at me confused and a little deflated.
'What wrong with calling it camp?'
'Yeah Rubes. What's wrong with calling it camp?' Kerrie says. I wince at the nickname. It's not me.

'It's fine. If your a five year old kid,'
'Well you know Poppy is almost as bubbly as a five year old, sooo,' Kerrie says making a funny face.
'That's right! Wait... what?' Poppy looks around confused and I snort.

I shake my head 'Well loved the chat ladies but I gotta go, bye redhead and blondie,' I ruffle my hand through Poppy's hair. I have a lot of nick names for my buddies. 'Bye Rubes!' Poppy says.

As I walk away I feel horrible for not telling them about my smoking related lung cancer...
Nah!

'Hey hottie!' I hear the unmistakable voice of my -pain-in-the-arse- ex.

'Ashley! How are you? Oh wait! I don't care,' I start to walk away but he grabs my arm 'How clingy are you? I told you 2 months ago! We - are - over!' I say through gritted teeth.

'Bab-'
'Don't! I'm not your baby anymore and never will be again. And anyway who says baby nowadays?'
'Me,' He runs his hand through his long black hair and gives me his 'make your legs feel like jelly' smile.

Fortunately, it doesn't work on me anymore. 'Goodbye Ashley,' I pull my arm out of his grasp and walk away.
'Come on baby!' he yells
'Piss off!' I yell and flip him off.

That's enough drama for me today.

The rest of the day passes like The Flash made the days go faster or something like that.

I walk in the door of my home and I'm greeted by my goody-two-shoes 18 year old Uni brother. 'Dylan,'
'Hey! Runny's home!'
'Don't call me Runny,' I hiss
'Sorry unicorn!'
'Your the UNIcorn,' I say putting emphasis on uni. I swear it was the most dumbest thing I have ever said.
'Very smart sister,' I roll my eyes but let a smirk form 'Yes. Unlike you,'

His smile widens.
'Where were you going?' I ask before he can come up with some witty comeback that I won't have a witty comeback to. 'Pub. Archie's in town so I thought I'd see my best buddy,'
'Good for you. Have a nice day!' and with that I push him out the door.

'Hey mum! I'm home,'
'Hey honey!' Mum calls out 'How do you feel about going on camp?'
I roll my eyes.
Camp? Again. I know Kerrie and Poppy are going. Might aswel.
'Whatever!'
'So that's a yes?'
'Yes! That's a yes!'
'Well, better start packing! You've got till next Wednesday!'
'Rightious!'
'Rightie what?'
'Nothing mum! I'm going to do homework!'
'Ok. I'll come up with a sandwich after!'
'Kay,'
I march up the stairs and dump my bag at the end of my bed and pull my phone out

Me:
Hey Pop! Coming to school camp😘

Poppy:
Oh! So now camp is cool?!?!
