Chapter 13

Annabelle's pov
Stop what? I thought Am I dreaming or is this truly happening to me? Is my life actually going to end here and now? There is still so much I want to do and see. My thoughts where interrupted by a bang on the hard wood floor, startled, I jumped and put my hands up to protect my face. I heard a laugh and obviously at this point we all knew it was genii.

"An innocent little girl trying to save her pathetic little life."  Genii screamed making the stones fall around my feet.

Suddenly my vision blurred and I woke up in the school, the lights flickering, the paint on the walls peeling everything was different. The lockers where opened or Brocken and some where ripped off the wall laying in a heap on the floor. Even though i wanted to get out of that cave I would much rather be in the cave then where I am now. I walked down the hall petrified that genii would show up. I walked past my class and I saw the principal. He looked like he had been shot more than 2 or 3 times. I shut my eyes tight and looked away from the horrid sight. I wanted to scream and cry, everything was falling apart.

Wait maybe this is all a dream? Who am I kidding this is a nightmare! But maybe if I pinch myself I could wake up I thought. I took my thumb and index finger and pinched my other hand.

Nope didn't work I though sadly.

I got so mad so fast with genii for ruining my life. She took my family, school, and peers. I picked up a locker and slammed it back on the ground. I realized that I could open the locker and climb inside. There where full sized lockers on the 3rd floor. I ran up the stairs to the second floor and then to the third floor. I heard someone else walking around and I tried to open the first locker, it was jammed. The person got closer so I tried the next locker, jammed as well. My eyes began watering I knew I wouldn't be able to find a locker in time. I tried the third locker and it opened. I got inside. I heard something being placed on top of the locker and I probably wouldn't be able to get out. I noticed that there was no back to the locker. All of a sudden the locker was being lifted up. Even with all the stuff on top of it. I fell out to the floor and all the other things on top fell too. I got up to run. I heard the steps again. They got closer and closer in panic I ran, I came to a door. Two thoughts came to mind

1. Go through the mysterious door
2. Don't go through the mysterious door.

I went with option one since I didn't have time to find somewhere new. I tried to open the door without making to much noise but it was a squeaky door. I cringed at the noise. I run through the door as fast as I can. And then I remembered, I have a little bit of asthma, I slowed down and I had my hands on my knees as a was wheezing trying to get air. I got the air I needed and kept walking. I thought if Renard was still alive, and then i got nauseous. I realized that he is probably dead and the person I heard is probably Genii. I started getting more and more nauseous and I clutched my stomach as I threw up. When I finished I realized there was also blood, then I started coughing up more blood. Eventually there was a puddle of MY blood on the floor, I got up and began fast walking.

"Oh Annabelle, come and play with me." a high pitched voice said. I couldn't make out what direction she was in but I know she was here. I didn't reply but she already knows where I am.

"Annabelle. I think your turn is up." The voice said into my ear this time.

  I tried not to look at her so I looked the other way where I saw Renard's dead body. My eyes teared up and I knew what was going to happen. I heard a knife come out of her pocket.

"Any last words dear?" She asked

"Yes, I can't wait to see my parents in heaven and if you die your going to hell." I said boldly

"Oh, I see how it is. Unfortunately I'm the last voice you'll ever hear and your dead boyfriend is the last person you'll ever see." She said

"That doesn't bother me." I lied

  I screamed in pain as the knife cut through my neck. She stopped me to the ground as the light began to fade and my hearing was fading away I heard one last thing

"Goodbye Annabelle, I'll see you in heaven since I'm a spirit!" Genii said laughing
