The wall with high and impregnable structure
Was built brick by brick over the year and
Got stronger with each passing second.
Some people tried to climb it with paltry success.
They said it needs to be brought down
To let go of isolation and explore the colossal world.
For him, they just came and go
Just like clouds who just stayed and
Went away without the much-needed precipitation.
Yet it precipitated more insecurity and fear
That this world will not accept that person cloistered
In that wall, which refused to come down.
Life and time went on like the inexorable
flow of river water, slowly and steadily.
People now say the wall surrounds
The obstinate and craven person who
Is not strong enough to face the cruel world.
But the willing prisoner only wants
Someone with whom he can be
Just the way he is without any masquerade.
One day someone came towards the wall
And touched it with her hand.
No one came so close to it ever,
Let alone touch it with an
artless care and concern.
With time, it began to stultify.
It started dismantling brick by brick
Just by the mere presence of her.
But the prisoner just stayed put,
As he refused to get out of
this restricted, vapid yet stable life.
She taught her to accept himself,
Embrace himself and at the
same time improve himself.
He realized that being an anomaly
Is not a bad thing and opening up
Is not that scary as he thought, as he
Looked towards the wall that finally came down
With an ineffable and latent joy.
