1. Thinking Of You

I woke up and opened a blood bag,since I have to deal with humans,I have to drink from a substitute source. After that,I got dressed and ready for school.

"Should you even be going to high school?"asked Jeremy

"Yes because last time I tried to go to college,you got into a fight,so I'm going to babysit you."I answered

"Don't eat the cheerleaders!"He laughed

"Oh whatever!I did that,once!"I called after him

When we arrived at school,we stopped at the main office.

"Hi,I'm Elena."I smiled

The secretary looked up from her work and looked directly into my eyes.

"You don't need to check,but as far as everyone knows,Elena and Jeremy Gilbert are registered students at this school."I said,assertive

"Now what did I say?"I asked her

"That as far as the school knows,Elena and Jeremy Gilbert are registered students at this school."she answered

"Thank you. Schedules please."I said

She handed us our schedules. And I had literature first period and Jer had chemistry.

"Be good."I ordered Jeremy

"I will!"He echoed down the hall

I knocked on the door and the teacher opened it.

"Hi,I'm new."I announced

"Oh and um what's your name?"she asked

"Elena Gilbert."I answered

"I'm Miss Blake. Sit over there by Scott."she said,pointing to a boy with a military jacket and a black T-shirt and looked decent enough.

"Hi."he grinned

"Shut up."I yawned

He growled and I looked out the window and saw birds. They were flying towards the window. I saw one hit and the window cracked. Then more hit and then the window caved in,I ducked. But then a thought came to mind,JEREMY!!I ran out the room,looking to see if he was okay. I lost him once,I won't lose him again.

"Jeremy!!"I yelled

Than someone grabbed my hand,I look to see that boy,Scott.

"Let go of my hand,or I'm going to bite you."I growled

Than his eyes glowed yellow. Or was it more of a gold.

"Your a werewolf."I said

"Wait,you know?"He asked

I used my inhuman strength to throw his arm back.

"I knew a guy who was a werewolf."I answered

I started to walk down the hall,and he was running after me.

"What do you want?I have to find my brother."I asked,annoyed

He studied me for a moment.

"Are you a werewolf too?"He asked

I laughed.

"No idiot,I'm not a werewolf."I answered

"Than what are you?"He asked

"I drink blood,and I have to wear a special ring that let's me go out in the sun."I answered

"A vampire."He said

"Duh."I sighed

"Well you don't have to be such a pain about it."He said

I grabbed him by the throat.

"Say that again,and I will bite you."I threatened

I vampran off and to find Jeremy was okay.

"Wait,'birds' crashed through the window?"He asked

"Yes,Jer and I wanted to see if you were okay."I answered

"Well,get back to class. I'm fine."he said

I hugged him.

"You mean the world to me,Jer."I said

"I know,Elena."He whispered

I let go.

"I gotta go. Behave."I sighed

I walked back to class and I saw blood. I held back the thirst and looked outside. I saw a large amount,maybe a hundred birds lying on the ground,dead.

"Miss Blake,my arm,there's a gash."said a boy

"Um,Elena will you take him to the nurse?"She asked me

I gulped and nodded. When we were walking down the hall,blood was dripping.

drip.

drip.

drip.

drip.

It was driving me insane. I could feed and let myself be exposed to the cameras. But instead,I walked him to the nurse and walked back,no problem.

Later that night,I was making Chicken Parmesan. Mine and Jeremy's favorite. When Jeremy walked through the door,Scott followed behind him. I broke the knife I was using.

"And uh,you know my sister Elena."sighed Jeremy

"Jeremy put the dog out."I growled

"Elena,play nice."begged Jeremy

"I'm going to be drunk for that."I said

I grabbed two plates and a old dog food bowl,wrote Scott on it and threw it to him. I ate and then went to my room and video chatted with Matt while he was in Paris with Rebekah.

"Hey Elena."chuckled Matt

"Are you drunk?"I laugh

"Not at all!"shouted Rebekah

I laughed a little and then someone knocked at my door. I closed my laptop and opened it and it was Scott.

"What do you want?"I asked,annoyed

"Why do you hate me?"he asked,hurt

"I'm kinda in the I hate all boys,phase. Because my ex dumped me for my best friend."I answered,angry

He grabbed the photos of me and Stefan. And then the one of me and Damon.

"So,I guess that you went out with him and you broke up and then went for this guy."He said

"Pretty much,now drop em."I growled

He put it back on my dresser.

"You don't need to hate me for it."He said

"I don't wanna talk to you,wait why am I talking to you?"I said

"Because,there is a part of you that wants someone to talk to you."He said

"Get out."I growled
