(Y/N)'s sword clashed with Zane's. "I hate you!" She screamed as they pulled away. Zane growled as she said that. She ran at Zane again, punching him right in the face.

"You're the worst! I'll never love you and no one will!" She yelled, tears forming in her eyes. Zane lowered his sword, watching as (Y/N) covered her face, crying.

She could help it, she was overwhelmed. She dropped her weapon, crying harder as it made a clang against the floor. "D-Don't just stand there!" She sobbed.

"Kill me!" She screamed at Zane. She didn't mean to say anything like that, her emotions were getting the best of her.

Zane moved closer to (Y/N), holding her against his chest. She squirmed and softly beat her fists against the chest as she cried.

"Don't cry.. I'm sorry.." Zane whispered. (Y/N) sobbed and fell limp in his arms. "I-I hate you.." She whispered. "I know." Zane said in a soothing voice.

He wasn't hurt by her words, she was hurt, crying and Zane just wanted to make her feel better, more so than anyone.

Zane looked over to the guards. "Ready the carriage." He commanded. "N-No don't take me b-back there." (Y/N) whimpered.

"Don't worry, I won't hold you captive, just give me a chance." Zane said. (Y/N) didn't reply. Zane sighed and picked her up bridal style. He walked or do the building, climbing into the carriage with her.

"To O'khasis." He told the man directing the carriage. "Yessir." The man said.

(Y/N) woke up, covered with the familiar comforter of Zane's bed. She didn't open her eyes, enjoying the moments peace and the comfort she was getting from the soft mattress.

She heard the door open and someone step in, closing the door straight after. She slowly opened her eyes and sat up, the room dimly lit by the sunset and a candle.

"(Y/N)" The deep voice of Zane rang through her ears. He genuinely sounded concerned for her. "Are you okay? You seemed to pass out in the carriage." Zane said, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I-I'm fine.." (Y/N) whispered, avoiding eye contact with the priest. "Good.." Zane said. "I want to go home, back to (V/N), back to my mom, and my siblings.." (Y/N) confessed.

Zane looked at her. "Would that make you happy?" He asked. (Y/N) nodded. "I don't want to be here." She said. "I feel so trapped here."

"I'm sorry for keeping you here." Zane said, his voice soft and caring. "Why won't you let me leave." (Y/N) asked.

"I just can't.." Zane muttered, hiding his true feelings for the woman, he felt different around her, he truly wanted her to be his wife, he wanted to care for her and treat her like she needed to be treated, like a princess.

He loved her.

(Y/N) sighed and looked down. "I'll stay, but on one condition." She said. Zane let himself from grinning. "And what may that be?" He asked. "Well.. Two, One I want to visit my village at least once a month, and two I don't want to be kept in here, I want to go outside." She said.

"D-Done!" Zane exclaimed, his visible eye glimmering.

(Y/N) nodded and looked out the window. Why didn't she just leave?

Why did she agree to stay with this monster. One day he could snap and just kill her like that. But he seemed different, nice almost.

She sighed, who knew where this would lead too.
