*two months later*

finally home

i drop my bags on the ground and run up to my room, jumping on my bed

i missed it's comfort

i turn on the tv and the news pops up

"The Dolan Twins have just come back from tour with Ethan's girlfriend Madalynn Edwards. Ethan is at the beach as shown in these pictures, but where's Grayson? if you look closely you can see that Ethan is with a girl but it isn't his girlfriend Maddy. Th-" 

i turn off the tv and grab my phone

i text Ethan

M- hey babe
read 1:02 pm

i patiently wait for a response, but i don't receive one

i text Gray 

M- hey Gray

G- hey Madds, what's up

M- i just had a bad feeling about something

G- and why's that?

M- turn on the news
read 1:04 pm

i'm guessing he's watching it

G- E left a little while ago with swim shorts 
on and i let him go cause i thought he 
made plans with you, but i guess he 

didn't. i don't know who that girl is 

M- can i come over?

G- of course Maddy

i rush over to the twins house, hoping that the girl in the picture is a fan

i knock and Gray lets me in

"i have a plan" i say

"okay spill"

"we go to the beach and see if he's still with her or not"

"fine by me. i'll go change" 

he rushes up to his room as i change in the bathroom

i walk to the front door and see Grayson already there

he smiles "let's go"

we get in his car and he drives us to the beach

it's a beautiful day

the perfect day for the beach or spying on your potentially cheating boyfriend

i spot Ethan in the water 

i nudge Gray's arm and point in the direction of Ethan's silhouette 

he nods and we slowly approach

i see the girl from and picture and almost blow our cover

i hold in my anger and take a deep breath

we casually walk closer to them and listen to their conversation

"looks like your girlfriend isn't here" the girl says 

her voice is so screechy and annoying

"it's just me today" 

"i like the sound of that" she says seductively 

i take a step forward, but Grayson pulls me back

"um okay?"

"how about we have a little fun"

i look over and see her hands all over him

"yeah no" he says and grabs her hands pushing them away

he walks out of the water 

Grayson turns his back towards Ethan and pulls me into his chest, hiding me from Ethan's view 

Ethan walks past us and into his car

"come on let's go" Grayson says releasing me from his grip

i nod and we get back in his car

at least i know Ethan wasn't cheating on me

there's an incoming call from Ethan on Grayson's phone

i press answer and put it on speaker so that Gray can talk and drive

"hey G"

"sup E"

"where are you?"

"i went to the store real quick to pick up a few things, but i'm coming home now"

"oh okay"

"see you soon buddy"

i press end

"how are we suppose to explain the swim suits?" i ask

"uh say it was a dare"

i smirk "not bad"

he smiles "i know"

"hey Gray what did yo-" Ethan stops as soon as he sees me

"why are you two in swim suits?"

"it was a dare" Gray says

"okay then where's the 'few things' that you picked up?"

"fuck i knew we forgot something" i say

Ethan furrows his eyebrows "okay so what's going on here?" 

i sigh "we went to the beach and spied on you" 

"why?"

"because you were all over the news and they had pictures of you and that skank"

"i didn't do anything" he defends

"i know. i saw you push her away"

"then we're good?"

i smile "yeah we're good"

"then let's watch a movie" he says and picks me up carrying me to the couch

he throws me down and starts tickling me

i laugh and laugh and laugh until i can't laugh anymore

i'm glad he pushed her away because i would've missed this

i would've missed him
