It began to slow down. The familiar screeching sound of the metal was annoying but I took no care of it. With all that the world has come to, screeching metal was the least of my concern or anyone for that matter.

It wasn't long before the train began to pick up speed again. The once crowded platform now lay empty. The halls were silent, the porters stared into their endless dreams in despair. The platform was now oozing past me and I managed to catch a glimpse of their dim lil' crouched heads. They neither smiled nor spoke but stared into their flat screens not knowing that in a few years they'd ask themselves where they lost it all.

The outside finally fainted into darkness and I turned to look at the other person in the coach. Subtle smiles were exchanged but alas we rode off into the dark abyss.
