---/Chapter 6\---

I decided to call my friend lily, since it was the weekend and I didn't get to meet her up on sports day (Friday).

No answer. I tried again. Still no answer. I tried her home number.

"Hello this is mark?" A deep voice answered on the other end. It was her dad.

"Hello mark, it's Jazz- is lily home?"

Silence.

"What?! She told me she was going to your house?" he yelled furiously.

"It's either she's with her boy- um... never mind.. I bet she'll be on her way!" I stumbled. Lily has been secretly been dating a guy, Cody, but neither of her parents know... but she is only 14 like me.

"Did you just say..-"

"Say what? Um. How long ago did she leave?" I questioned.

"Thirty minutes ago."

**Knock knock knock**

"I think she's here now, thanks mark!"

"But jazz-"

*Beep beep*- too late.

I raced down the stairs, nearly tripping over my own feet. I opened the door panting- running down stairs isn't easy when there's a lot of steps.

"Hey Jazzie! Are you feeling better?"

Lily with her brown curly hair flying in the wind and her bright green eyes was standing at my door. Her bright innocent smile was spread across her face so I'm guessing shes in a good mood.

"Hey Lil. I just talked to your dad.."

"Jazz! Who's at the door?!" my mothers voice calls from the kitchen.

"It's lily!" I yell back.

We made our way up to my room before I continued. She sat in my leopard print beanbag while I sat in my wheelie desk chair.

Lily's eyes widened in impatience. "What did you and my dad talk about! You didn't tell him did you?"

I blushed lightly in embarrassment. I could already see flames in her eyes.

"It kinda nearly slipped... I only said boy!" I said, playing with my midnight hair.

"Kinda?!" she yelled in fury. So much for nice lily at the front door.

"I tried calling your cell and you didn't answer so I called your home. Your dad answered and he said you were at my house. He told me you had left 30 minutes ago so I said she might be with her boy- but I changed the topic and said you'd be coming soon and hung up" I explained.

"Okay." She still seemed a little frustrated. I smiled hoping she would forgive- and after a little awkward silence- she smiled back.

She's one of those people who easily forgive. We gave each other a friend hug and continued talking...

Until we heard something strange.
