Destiny's POV
*************

The house resembled all the others surrounding it, large yet simple. We walked up the stone path leading to the wooden door. The grass on either sides of the path was perfectly mowed. Dad pulled out a shiny object from his pocket and stuck the key into the the keyhole, the sound of the metallic object catching Eileen's attention. She hasn't said anything since we left, which was odd considering she was never quiet.

Dad pushed open the door and smiled at us, allowing us inside. Mom followed us in and gave us a quick hug. "Welcome home girls", she said with a small smile on her face.

"Jason, come meet your sisters", mom called as a tall boy who looked about seventeen came down the stairs.

The boy turned and stopped in his tracks, turning to face us. He had dark blue eyes and brown hair that fell over his forehead

" Hi, I'm Jason". He stood awkwardly and scratched the back of his neck, waiting for us to introduce ourselves.

Eileen finally spoke up, "I'm Eileen, and this is Destiny", she gestured toward me and I slightly waved, not making eye contact with him.

Jason nodded and turned his attention to his mom, " I'm going to Ryan's, I'll be home by t-"

"-No you're not", his mom said, interrupting him. " We're having dinner as a family and you're not missing it".

Jason slightly rolled his eyes. "I don't get why I have to be there", he mumbled to himself as he walked back upstairs.

Mom looked at us apologetically. " You'll have to excuse Jason, he's been an only child his whole life. It might take him a while to adjust but you'll have to bare with him".

I took a glance at Eileen's levo. 6.7?!? She sure didn't look like it. I looked at my own and wasn't surprised when it read 3.6 - I was nervous.

Mom looked at my levo with concern. "Is there anything I can do to raise your levels?"

"Uh... I'm not really sure".

"How about some chocolate cake? It was supposed to be for dessert but maybe it could help you", she suggested as she guided me to the kitchen.

On top of the glistening white counter was something covered with aluminum foil. She removed it to reveal a dark, creamy cake that looked better than anything that was served at the Center. I could already feel my levels rising before I even took the first bite. Sure enough, when I tasted the creamy, chocolatey goodness of the cake, I looked at my levo as my level began to rise gradually. 3.8 ... 4.1 ... 4.5... 4.9... 5.8

Mom looked at my levo and smiled. "I knew it would do the trick, chocolate is always the answer", she winked and I felt a sort of comfort, a warm feeling that I would like it here - a feeling that I belong here.

Hopefully nothing ruins it
