Destiny's POV
**************

"Again!", a large coach yelled to a skinny boy who was doing push-ups. He went down, and as he brought himself up again he let out a groan and collapsed onto the wooden planks.

The coach grabbed him by his shoulders and pulled him up with a force so strong that I was surprised the boy was still in one piece.

"Hurry up Destiny!", coach David yelled from across the room. I quickly chugged down the water and tossed the empty bottle in the bin.

I jogged over to where the coach was standing, the beads of sweat racing down the side of my face.

"We're going to play basketball again. Only this time, you'll be playing against another slated" he explained. I'm not sure why, but I hated the term slated. The way they said it made it seem as if we weren't human. But of course, there was nothing I could do about it.

"Who will I be against?", I ask, still panting wildly due to the multiple times I had to run around the whole center.

"There she is now", he points towards the doors, and I follow his gaze to see the girl from last week. The one who's cell I accidentally walked into. How'd she reach level two that fast?

"Destiny, meet Eileen", the coach said, gesturing towards the girl who now had a name. We shake hands and she smiles at me. I exchange the gesture, but something about the look in her eyes told me that her smile wasn't genuine

"You two go warm up while I get the ball".

I go to the opposite end of the gym and start stretching.

"Y'know, I saw the quote in the head's office", Eileen says as she walks towards me and starts stretching

"What quote?"

"The one where you got your name from? I wanted to pick it, but the head said it was taken"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pick your name", I say sarcastically, hoping she would stop talking

"It's fine! I asked her to pick my name for me. She said Eileen was perfect for me".

"That's great", I turn around so my back is facing her, and continue warming up

"Alright ladies!", coach David yells as he walks through the door, the spherical object in his hands

He tells us to stand in the middle of the court. We do as told, a thick blue line in between us. He holds the ball above his head, and just before he tosses it, Eileen looks at me with a smirk plastered onto her face

"It's on", she whispers
