One month later...

All eyes were on her as she tried grasping for air. She felt tired, weak and no where near ready to read her essay aloud to the classroom. As she looked at the class her vision began to blur. Mr Johnson, their teacher checked his watch to see how much time they had left. He was five seconds away from telling Rayne to hurry up and speak. Hot flashes ran through her body like electricity. She took one deep breath in and began speaking. But no words came out. Instead her paper was immersed in orange thick vomit that smelt of ravioli and grape juice.

The whole class was disgusted. Rayne kept her head down so that she wouldn't see their faces.

"Would you be so kind Marigold, and take Rayne to the nurse?" Marigold got up and guided Rayne out the door. She showed no signs of disgust.

When Rayne got sent home she went straight to her couch that night to watch Cinderella again. Before she could turn the movie on her phone rang.  She picked it up quickly without looking to see who it was.

       "Hello."

       "Hey Rayne.!" The voice replied.

       "Lee. What's up." Rayne said.

"Oh nothing. I heard you got sick today are you ok?"

"Yea I am. I guess I ate something bad."

       "Yea maybe so.."

"So how was the rest of school?"

       "It was ok."

"Just ok. I thought you loved school."

"I don't love school Rayne, I just love being entertained by certain students."

       "Certain students like who?"

"Well mostly you. Hearing about you vomiting all over tenth grade made my day."

"Whatever Lee." Rayne suddenly had the urge to make up an excuse to get off the phone with Lee, but resisted.

"So have you spoken to Alex lately?"

       "No why?"

"Well the last time I saw him was at Jacobs house and I kinda got mad at him."

       "Oh really?"

       "Yea."

       "Wow....hold on ok Rayne."

"Ok." About a minute later Rayne hears Lee's voice on the phone again.

       "Rayne you still there?"

       "Yea...I'm here."

"Rayne's on the line?" Another familiar voice asked."

"Alex?"Rayne asked. She was stunned. She had no idea why Lee would put Alex on the line. She had no idea what to say or do.

"Aww look at the happy couple!" Lee said with a sweet and sinister tone. All she got in return was a dead silence.

"So how are you guys doing?" She asked.

       "Uhh fine." Rayne replied.

"Yea so when are you guys gonna go out?"

       "I don't know?" Alex answered.

"Well you guys better get a move on. Everyone is getting together now. You don't wanna look like lames do you?"

"Lee I could care less!" Alex added.
