"So, what are you doing up so late?" She walked up to Nick and tapped him on the shoulder.
"I dunno, just daydreaming I guess. It's just that nothing really makes sense. We were told to evacuate the state for a reason we don't even know, and now we're sitting in Arizona, away from family, and not to mention tex-mex. I just need some time alone."
Sandra sighed and looked up at the stars. It was cool out there, at least. She didn't blame him, it was a wierd evacuation. If only their house had good reception. And their was Nichole, and Bill. At least they had him. He was a big guy, if it did get hot, he could always fan them with a palm tree. Or probably a palm branch. Plus they had John, he was a geek, but could put any machine back together. In fact, he still needed to take a look at that piece of crap walkie talkie.
"All right mr. Lone wolf, go ahead and sulk in peace. See ya in the morning."
Not waiting for an answer, she started walking back to the tent. At around two in the morning she awoke to the sound of Nick's screaming.
