Chapter 4: The Chase

The school bell rings for the last time! Finally, I can go home and play the Xbox! I walk to my locker and grab my bag, then I close my locker door and lock it.

Next minute I'm outside of the school, walking home. I take out my phone and and it's on 20% battery, that should be enough battery to last for the walk home! I turn my phone off and put it in my pocket again. I look around at the people walking back home then I see Naomi. She was on the other side of the street, she must of not see me.
"Hey, Naomi!" I yell. No reply, she must not hear me.
"NAOMI!" I yell louder. Still no reply, she's probably trying to ignore me. But why? I stop at a zebra crossing and I walk to the other side of the street where Naomi was.
"Hey, Naomi" I huffed.
"What?" She asks, her head still looking down and her arms crossed.
"I was wondering if you wanted me to walk you home?" I asked looking at her, she looks up and me and un-crosses her arms.
"Sure" she smiles up at me, I smile back. We talk and talk until she stops at her house.
"Well, I guess this is goodbye" I smile.
"I guess it is..." she looks down is if she doesn't want to go inside her house.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Just I don't really like going back home..." she muttered.
"What? Say that again, I didn't hear you" I asked.
"I said nothing is wrong..." She looks up and walks into her house. As I walk away I hear people yelling, from her house! What's going on. I look back and I see two shadows from the window. One is taller then the other, so I'm assuming that's her mother and the smaller shadow is Naomi. The taller shadow slaps the smaller shadow and starts yelling again. Then all of a sudden a head beaks out of the window where the shadows were, I looked back and pretended I didn't see anything. I hear the window slam shut, I look back and the taller shadow isn't there anymore. Then, Naomi opens the window and yells.
"RUN, JOEY. SHE WILL HURT YOU, GO NOW!".
I start running then I hear the door open then slam shut behind me, I run faster. She was following me! I ran around corners to try and lose her, but she wouldn't give up! Then I find an ally way, I go down the ally way and hide in a dumpster. I hear her run past, but I don't get out.

I waited a hour before I got out. It was dark and foggy, But I'm pretty sure Naomi's mother went back home.

I walk back to my house and I walk inside, my mother runs to me and hugs me tight.
"Where have you been?!?" She cried.
"I was walking a friend home then I got chased by someone that looked like they wanted to kill me." I explained.
"WHAT!?!" my mother looked at me in Horror.
"Yeah, I found an ally way and hid in the dumpster for an hour to make sure she was gone." I looked at mum.
"Well at least you safe!" She hugs me tight again. I smiled then she let go.
"Now go have a shower, you smell like rotten food!" She laughs. I laugh as well.
"Okay, mum" I smile as I walk to the bathroom.
