chapter 13.

*next day*

This was our last whole day at camp.. we leave at about 10 tomorrow morning after we finish packing and eating. We start the day with warm ups and exercises and I'm more than happy to participate. I like to stay in shape and it helps me forget that its fucking 6 in the morning!!!

We went for breakfast but returned shortly after to hear our next challenge for the day from the camp manager.

"Alright boys and girls. The next challenge is we (referring to himself and the other workers) will take each one of you and split you up and as soon as the whistle blows you guys will take off to find each other. The first person you found has to be your partner. You and your partner has to look for a flag, there are numerous flags spread out in the wood, and when you get your flag you have to make your way out and the first team to make it back wins a gift card for free ice cream"

One of the co-workers took my hand and led me to a spot in which trees are surrounded. "Hi I'm Aaron Carpenter" he said holding his hand out. I smiled and shook his hand. "Hi I'm em-"

"-mily Rivers i know" he smiled. "Uh.." I said awkwardly. "Oh sorry I heard you got attacked by Frank, I'm so sorry about that. His a dick" I smiled.

"Thanks." Just then the whistle blew and I sprinted off but not before screaming "it was nice to meet you" at Aaron.

He laughed and walked back to the camp grounds. I kept running looking for anyone but it was awfully quiet.. maybe this was a bad idea to send us individually into the woods.

I gulped. At least it's not dark . Suddenly something grabbed me from behind and I screamed and kicked and attempted to punch for my life making the person chuckle. Wait, I know that laugh.

I turned to find Gilinsky behind me smiling brightly . "God dammit Gilinsky, did you have to scare me like that Geez" I said walking away from him.

He chuckled. "Where are you going? We're partners" he said making me freeze in my spot. "Why the hell did I have to end up with you? Why didn't you just pretend that you didnt see me and we could find other partners" I complained. He inched closer to me making me take a few steps back. He grabbed my chin and I could feel his breath on my face. Mmmmmm minty, shut up Emily!

"No ways. You're stuck with me whether you like it or not" he said leaning back . I rolled my eyes and continued to walk, looking for the flag. "Em.." I ignored him

"Em.. why are you always angry with me? Why can't we have a normal friendship like you and Sammy or Johnson or even Nash?" I looked at him. "Because you are a little conceited motherfucker with a fake ass(literally) Barbie doll of a girlfriend hanging on him and you disgust me with that huge ego of yours" I said getting pissed.

"Okay listen babe. You think you know me but you don't. All those things you said, I'm none of that. If you at least get to know me then you'll know the truth." He said winking at me which made me roll my eyes.

"Cocky son of a b-" with that said I was pushed up against the nearest tree and Jack inched closer to me. "You might want to be careful about the things you say to me" I pushed him away and continued looking for the flag and my eyes widened when I spotted a greenish cloth hanging from a tree.

"Yo Gilinsky over here" I shouted and he turned around and quickly ran past me and started climbing the tree and I stood under the branch where it was hanging from. Gilinsky climbed onto the branch where the flag was hanging and it looked like it was about to snap any moment.

"Be careful up there!" He looked at me and smiled. "Auw does someone care about me?" He laughed and I rolled my eyes and suddenly I heard a "snap!"

I looked up and Gilinsky came tumbling down on top of me. I looked at my arm and red liquid was dripping from it.

"Shit" I said and I looked at Jack. His eyes was closed . Oh my God what if he's unconscious.

"Jack? GILINSKY WAKE UP!" Wow I sound so stupid. I cupped his face and noticed the top of his head bleeding. I quickly took the flat which was long enough and used It as a bandage and put it around his head. I don't even know where I am, how am I going to get back?

I quickly picked Gilinsky up and attempted to carry him. He was so heavy but I didn't have a choice. I walked into the direction I came from and it took a good 20 minutes. I reached our cabin and laid Gilinsky on the bed and got the first aid kit. Everyone came running in the cabin like animals.

"Holy shit we thought we lost you guys-" shawn looked at Gilinsky and his eyes widened and so did everyone elses. I sniffed.

"What the hell happened? We know you don't like him but was it necessary to kill him?" Carter said and I shot him a death stare.
"I DID NOT KILL HIM! He fell from a tree branch trying to get the flag and I carried him all the way back because I didn't know what to do" I said while gently dipping some disinfectant on Gilinsky's wound. I looked at Kylie and she just shrugged and walked away.

"YOU CARRIED HIM ALL THE WAY HERE?!?" Selena gasped and I nodded. "You are a fucking legend. I swear." Cameron said and I laughed. I wrapped Gilinsky's head in a bandage and put a warm cloth on his forehead and sat next to him. I didn't realise everyone left and saw that its only Nash in the room.

"You really like him don't you?" I sighed and laughed a little. "I think I do but he can't know that. His ego is big enough" I said making him laugh. "I'm gonna join the others. You wanna come?" After he said that I let out a yawn and rub my eyes tiredly. "Guess not" he laughed. "Get some rest okay" he said and hugged me then left the room. I didn't even realise I put Gilinsky on my bed and since the bed is big enough I laid next to him and fell asleep.

Jack's P.O.V : yayyy.

She likes me.
