He's getting closer! I thought as I ran through the orange lit hallway. Fire climbed the already tight knit walls, enclosing me to a panic I've never felt before. My feet pounded on the floor, reverbing in my head, echoing my pounding heart. Panic ensued and i fell across a beam. My knees stung, but I had to scramble back up.
NO! I can't let him catch me!
Thump... The sound cause me to stop for a sec and look back. The man had fallen over the same beam as me and didn't move for a while. I stumbled to a stop and watched the man for any sign of movement, and to see what he looked like. His clothes were black, but charred even darker by the fire on the tops of his shoulders. Dark black hair spilled from his hood, and his pants were scraped at the knees, blood dripping from his wounds.
The fire didn't seem to bother me no longer. Walking calmly, I approached the unconscious man in black, my converses leaving clear footprints on the blacked floor. As I got closer though, I unknowingly tensed my body, ready to dart when he made the slightest move.
"He may just need help," I relayed out loud. I stepped over wooden and metal debris, fire licking my arms. I crouch, peeking at his face. His eyes were peacefully closed and face was... absolutely perfect...
"Holy moly muffin top I'm in love," I whisper as I stare at his complexion. Reaching for his hood, i gently push it off to check for a pulse when...
Whoosh! His hand jerks and grabs my wrist. I pull back startled, and look up into his face. His eyes were open now, but there was something not ordinary about them. They were blood red, piercing my soul till all i felt was the pain of heartbreak. I let out a deafening scream as my vision goes black.
