Begin Again

4: Oh shit

3rd POV

It has been 3 days, since Ichikawa and Shukuzawa's conversation in the cafe, and Ichikawa has been avoiding him since then. She stares at Shukuzawa whenever he's not looking at their direction, but she doesn't feel anything at all. Her heart doesn't beat fast(or her heart doesn't skip a beat or whatever you call it).

Shukuzawa notices Ichikawa's change of attitude, even though he just met her. But he felt that something's change to Ichikawa. Whenever he tries to talk or approach Ichikawa, she's always in a hurry or she has to do something. He decided to just shrugged it off, since he doesn't care much about people around him.

Ichikawa looked around before entering the campus. Wait a minute?! Why am I still hiding? I don't have feelings for him anyway. She thought to herself.

"Hey Runa-chan!" she heard somebody calling her, she looked around but she didn't see anyone. She thought it was only her imagination so she decided to walk away. When somebody stopped her by grabbing her shoulders.

"Oh, hi Yayoi-chan." she smiled but Akita pouted. "Is there a problem?"

"I called you earlier but you totally ignored me." she pouted that made Ichikawa chuckle. "I thought it was only my imagination. I'm sorry." Ichikawa said with an apologetic look and a puppy eyes.

"Okay." Akita grinned and grab her towards their classroom.

"Ne~ Runa-chan..." Akita stated cutely while resting her arms and head on her table. Ichikawa hmmed as she glanced at Akita then back to her notebook writing. "Are you avoiding Shukuzawa-kun?"

Ichikawa was startled by Akita's sudden question that made her stop whatever she was doing and looked at Akita straight to her eyes. "Ye-No."

"Ye-No?" Akita asked confused. "What does that mean?" she continued.

"I mean, I was actually avoiding him, since I thought I liked him..." she was cut off by Akita's fan girling. Ichikawa tried to shush her, but she didn't listen. All her classmates are now looking at them, they were sitting at the back of the room, which makes it easy to know if everybody is looking at them.

Ichikawa decided to grab Akita's wrist and drag her out of the room and brought her in the girl's restroom. "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god..." she said as she pinched Ichikawa's cheeks, hugged Ichikawa and kept on mumbling things.

"Ichikawa and Shukuzawa forevs!" then squeals. "You would be a wonderful couple... Your kids would be amazing... Runa-chan you like him? Oh my god. This is the best day of my life... I want to be the maid of honor... But first I will help you plan to get Shukuzawa-kun's heart... Kyaaaaa-" Ichikawa felt like she was going deaf because of Akita's squealing, shrieking, and fan-girling, so she shut Akita by covering her mouth.

"I'm going to uncover your mouth but I want you to listen to me carefully." Ichikawa stated real slow that made Akita nod also in a slow manner. "If you shriek, I will definitely put a duct tape on your mouth." Ichikawa said that made Akita nod again. She slowly pulled her hands away, when Akita just grinned like an idiot, she sighed and rolled her eyes.

"So what is it?" Akita giggled with excitement, while trying her best not to shriek.

"I thought I liked him, but I don't... For the past three days I've been watching him while avoiding him to confirm my feelings for him. And now I'm 100% sure that I don't like him that way. But maybe as a friend or something?" Ichikawa explained, Akita's smile fade away and turned into a pout.

"But, I already planned for everything... Especially your wedding..."

"I'm sorry Yayoi-chan. But I promise you, that you will be my wedding planner if I'm going to get married." I assured her that made her grin back to her face again. I reached for her head and patted it. "Promise?" she said as she extended her pinky. Ichikawa shook her pinky finger with her pinky finger to lock their promise.

They heard the bell rang, so they quickly exited the restroom and ran towards their classroom. They reached their room 4 minutes late, when they entered, their teacher was nowhere to be seen. They entered the room and sat on their respective seats with a thankful sigh. After a couple of minutes, our teacher entered the room and apologized since he was pretty late.

The discussion went by really slow, and a lot of students were getting bored. As soon as the bell rang, for lunch time, everybody in the room cheered and the room was quickly deserted. Ichikawa and Akita were the last student to exit their room.

"Ne~ Runa-san..." Ichikawa stopped walking as soon as she heard Akita. She hesitated to look at Akita who was walking behind her, but looked at her anyway. Whenever Akita calls her Runa-san, she has planned something that includes her life and most of her plans in the past when they were kids was actually successful. But now, she doesn't have any idea what Akita is thinking about, "W-w-what is i-it?"

"I love you~"

Oh shit. Ichikawa said to herself.
